Kickhunter- All In

I love a lot of heavy Blues based Rock. In fact I have been known to own straight up back porch acoustic old school Blues releases from time to time. I love to hear good Blues. However, most of the time when people plug into amps they really take the spirit out of Blues and make it lifeless. This is what makes up most of this release sad to say. Maybe a better producer could have saved this release, but there is clearly something missing. The few times they move away from the heavy Blues influence it gets even worse. "Deep In My Heart" reminded me more of really old people singing crusty church hymns than it did a passionate Rock ballad. "Call Me" was an ok cover I must say though. Or maybe the rest of the album had set the bar so low that I am taking it easy on that one more than I should? Either way this release was more annoying than it was enjoyable. Sure it had it's moments, but mostly it was just disappointing.

What is really shocking is that this band features Helloween bassist Markus Grosskopf! Go back to doing Power Metal because this is not the way for you. Sorry.
