I don’t know if there is something going on here, but it seems like everything I’ve been listening to lately belongs in the early 90’s. I thought things cycled every 20 years, but I guess the 90’s are already coming back? I don’t really know.

As with Dogs of Winter, this band has a more fun vibe than some of the music that was around back then. And these guys also have a bit of a punk vibe. Especially in the bass. I’m hearing a lot of punk sounding things going on with the bass guitar. Later in the album, I notice the bass is really low in the mix, but it always is, isn’t it?

The vocals are somewhat reminiscent of Dave Grohl, especially the overdubbed parts. But they have a bit of a punk influence. I like the way he carries a note. I’m hearing an OK amount of passion, so that’s good.

The guitar riffs are pretty straight rock also with some punk going on sometimes. Mostly just rock though. The drummer isn’t doing anything totally special. I can hear that he knows what he’s doing, but this is pretty basic rock styled music, so there isn’t really any showing off.

I do like albums like this. It’s a little more mellow than what I’d normally listen to now, but back in the 90’s I would have probably listened to this a lot. I think this album would be liked by (here I go again) people who like early 90’s rock. I really don’t want to say Foo Fighters again, but just as far as the vocals go I’m going to have to. Oh, this is an advance copy. So since I can't find a picture of the album cover, you get two pictures of the band Mmmkay?
