The past couple of cd's from Agnostic Front honestly didn't do much for me. I'm not sure why, but they just sounded more about trying to do the whole tuff guy thing then what I look for from these legends of hardcore. The sad thing is, that the band seemed to forget that they are the leaders and they started following the trends. Well with this cd they are back with full force. My wife found the song "Dead To Me" to be a little funny, but she is pretty twisted. She also likes to sew cute little dolly clothes while watching overly bloody action movies. Anyways, while listening to this cd I can't help but have visions of packed clubs shouting along with Roger. Roger is the kind of the sing along and can make the most brutal song something you can't help but tap your foot to. I would have to say that the stand out track on the cd is "For My Family". The drums at times go a little faster then the most of the cd, but then kick into a chorus that slows down just enough to give it that deeper groove. "No Regrets" makes a perfect follow up because it kicks it up just a little more fo he first half of the song. It ends the song by turning it into another classic anthem in the making. When it comes to hardcore, I love a god anthem. It's like pop music, but really heavy. I love pop music, but wish it wasn't so pussified. Well, this anthem packed cd is perfect. It's got better hooks then most modern pop music, but is hits harder then most metal today. It's like the difference between hitting someone as fast as you can with a ball-peen hammer and just giving them a bruise and a headache, or hitting them once real good with a good sized sledge hammer and leaving them with a totally crushed skull. To do real damage sonicly you have to reel that hammer back a little and Agnostic Front does this more on Warriors then they have in awhile. Did this thing Rock My Monkey? Hell yeah! What really wins it for me is the diversity. Especially in the drumming. So many bands today get lazy and the albums drags because they use pretty much the same drums for the entire album. Don't get me started on those 45 minute blast beat bands. Not Agnostic Front! At least not on Warriors. If you have ever thought you could get into Agnostic Front, give this cd a try. They have a few songs up for preview on their MySpace still I think. Check it out and let me know what you think. If you like it, come back here and click that album cove to buy. It helps keep us online and stuff. ![]()
