Here's another band that isn't changing the way music is perceived or headed .The Destro is just another band doing nothing new for the genre of heavy music and not really trying to sound any different that every other metal core band out today.

The vocalist can't decide whether to sing in some excessively high pitched banshee wail in a vain attempt to sound like Rob Halford or trying everything he can to grumble and mumble to sound like Jamey Jasta. The guitarist is doing the same amount of nothing equally. Typical rhythm tracks that aren't standing out except for a listener to just casually mention how simple this music sounds. I really can’t say much about the drummer either. The drummer and bassist are just trying to be every other Kyuss rip-off band. Imagine the above mentioned bands combined into one. Kyuss + Judas Priest + Hatebreed, divide the talent of the bands in half and you can somewhat imagine what As The Coil Unwinds sounds like.

There is an instrumental at the end of this CD called "Forever Embedded." Out of all 11 tracks on this cd, this is the only one tolerable and can possibly give me the impression that The Destro have a little potential. It’s not much but it could possibly give me hope for the future of this band. I certainly hope this band enjoys what they are doing, after all, that is the only reason to be in a band. Have a good time and have fun with what your doing.

Still one song without vocals out of eleven tracks does not make a good album. If your into heavier genres of music then save the cash you would spend on this. Wait for the new Hatebreed or the next Judas Priest. This band just takes the good aspects of both bands and while not only making them worse sounding but also not doing anything original with it.
