Wanted To Get A Consensus Of Thoughts On The New Album?

Favorite Song, Or Songs.

ITM Music Classification Rock, Metal, Or Other.

Thoughts In General.

Thoughts I Have Are This Album:

Marias Voice Is Great At Whatever She Chooses To Sing.
Music Is So Diverse Is It Metal Rock Or ????????
This Album Is It More Commercial Or Highlighting Their Music
Ability????????????
Overall Album I Feel Is A Must Have, Does Not Compare To 1st
Album Though.
My Favorites Are Her Kiss & The Great Divide.

My overall view of The Dream is a varied one…

I, presumably not the only person, expected a heavier sounding record, that’s not to say I’m disappointed with In This Moment’s latest venture. I’m actually more impressed as I don’t often listen to records with clean vocals often.

Also when I find a band I love every single thing they have done regardless of how other people respond, I loved With Teeth and Saint Anger for example.

Maria’s voice is awesome, as is Jeff’s Drums, Jesse’s Bass, and especially Chris and Blake’s intricate guitar work; the solo’s and melodies are immense also. I fucking love the drum work as well.

The album in again most people’s opinion would be considered more commercial, I believe this isn’t the case. I think it is ITM finding their sound. I’d say the sound is Hard Rock IMO, I like this album better than the first though.

My favourite tracks are Her Kiss and All For You

All opinion said at last =P who's next?

For me, 'The Dream' is a complete disappointment. I'm a huge fan of the band, I think they're great people and awesome musicians. I like the heavier sound of the first cd and I love Maria's screaming. I like bands like Kittie, Otep, ETHS, etc especially because of the screaming and the intensity. I understand that the band will evolve and grow and since they are a touring band and need to make money to live on, they need to expand their fan base and I think they've done that with this cd. The anger, sadness and pain mixed with a 'kick-your-ass-intensity' of the first cd just seems to be missing on The Dream. And that's what I liked so much about BT. My wife and I will be seeing them live here in Chicago so I'll have a chance to hear the new songs played live and perhaps that will make a difference.
