View Full Version : Ensiferum, "Iron"
I've liked this band quite a bit for a few months now, but for one reason or another I haven't spent much time listening to them.
However, I was prompted to a few minutes ago since I'm going to see them with Amon Amarth tonight, and I chose "Iron" first. I must say this song is absolutely fantastic, that they have many more of this quality and that they'll play it tonight.

hell yea. i like "iron" because i like petri as a singer better than jari. but that's just me. jari's albums were good too though.
Ensiferum didn't play "Iron" last night, but I could care less.
Overall, the entire show was amazing since Belfegor and Amon Amarth both played flawless sets, but neither one of them came close to reaching Ensiferum's level. As a result, I can see Ensiferum becoming one of my favorite bands very soon.
As for Petri Lindroos, he's one of hell of a guitarist, vocalist and front man, and I can't wait to see him tear it up again with Ensiferum and Norther.
The most interesting thing just occured to me. Is it just me, or is Ensiferum's music what power metal bands try to sound like? It's heavy, melodic, truly epic and not cheesy in the slightest. If only power metal bands would draw influence from them...

i know exactly how you feel. that's the reason why i only like less than a handful of actual power metal bands. most of them are way too effing cheesy.

Not that I know of. I said that I can't wait to see Norther live because I can't wait to see Norther live one day.

I'm not sure about Kalmah, but I'm wondering why it is that it will take Norther so long to get over here. They seem to be pretty damn popular, and considering their relationship with Children of Bodom, I don't see why Alexi and company wouldn't bring them over here at least once.

if bodom, kalmah, norther, and etos all toured together i'd shit myself 500 times and hit up every show within a 1000 mile radius.
