Torture Killer

i must say that Chris Barnes is quite possibly the only vocalist whos vocal perfomance surprised me for several times.
1st time it was with "Butchered at Birth"( it was like "Holy shit! this guy s monster!!!" )
2nd time was with "Tomb of the Mutilated":headbanger ( when i already thought that nothing can be lower the stuff on Butchered )
3rd time was with "Maximum Violence" Barnes sounded just sick! very angry, it s probably my favorite perfomance by him. His vocals were so full of malice there:pissed
4th time is Trooo Carnage!!!!! HOW DID HE PRODUCE THOSE LOWS!!!!!!
it was impossibly low :headbanger - fuckin amazing
5th time with Torture Killer - Chris Barnes sounds very refreshing there adding something new to his vocal style yet still sounding sinister
Unlike George Fisher who always sounds the same ( which isnt a bad thing anyway ) Chris keep changing his vocal delivery from time to time while remaining one of the best death metal vocalist ever existed:headbanger

I would say the song Knife, Gun, Axe. I could have sworn it was an old Cannibal Corpse cd if I didn't put the cd in myself. Ive been a long time fan of Chris and I will contuine to be one as long as hes behind the mic:maiden
most defidently! chris barnes (the brutal) is fucking amazing.
i think his best vocal performance is on Tomb of the Mutilated.

All the vocals are different and great. He's very versatile.
Haunted - Raw
Warpath - Clear (well, for Barnes)
Maximum violence - Sick
True Carnage - Brutal & Burly Low
Bringer of Blood - Aggressive as fuck, in your face
13 – Demonistic

I have been a fan of Chris' singing style for MANY years now, dating back to his Cannibal Corpse days!!! All I can say is that he has never let me down!! Keep up the good work Chris (and Terry, Greg, Steve)!!!http://www.websmileys.com/sm/music/musik33.gifhttp://www.websmileys.com/sm/music/musik01.gif

I'll say feasting on the blood of the insane is his best vocal performance..:cool

Lets take it back to 1990,with Cannibal Corpse and a young unbearded Chris Barnes, with his ears intact.sans dreds.
The album was "Eaten Back to Life".
The song was "Edible Autopsy".
You can hear the true demon sound in the middle of that song.
Scared the shit out of me first time i heard it .
I have never heard anyone even come close to going as low and as close to the gates of hell as he has.

I was 17 my second time at a death metal show.
The brass mug was the place, not far from Morrissound.
The roof was blown off the place that night and my only recollection was Chris and his demon voice as I felt it close to the amps as I was.
Check it out and then DIe!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite Barnes performances are probably The Bleeding, Created To Kill, and Haunted. I like his vocals were you can understand them, yet they still retain that evil sound.
The Bringer of Blood era vocals were probably the absolute worst, in my opinion. I dunno what happened for that....something started to change around True Carnage with song structure and vocal patterns and whatnot, but I think that by 13 they got whatever was lost back.

vocals were just mixed too loud. that was the first time barnes produced i think. he got it right with gcII

yeah i dont even listen to the NEW Cannibal Corpse..
its not the same without barnes, george fisher is like this big
wrestler looking ogre to me....idk barnes was more of a creepy beleivable frontman......with fisher it seems like hes some big football player tryna fake being into metal
thats how i see it anyways
BARNES FOR LIFE!
oh yeah best vocal performance?

no i hear you
i know fisher has credentials...
i just can't get used to him as a frontman for CC
My favorite is Haunted. I didnt even care for CC until Chris left, I think that is when CC became really good. Haunted, though, has some seriously badass vocals.

Yer mate, thats coz the bastards reading the lyrics off the wall as hes doing it!
I swear thats cheating...
As for me i really like the bleeding ( the song ) and that bit on post mortal ejaculation where it slows down and he just lets out that gut wrenching scream, thats so good.
SFU stuff, i like revenge of the zombie, and i no everyone else says its shit, but the vocals he does on dead and buried i think sound fuckin cool coz theyre so bloody primitive.

Chris Barnes has come up with the sickest lyrics ever. When I first red the shit from the first three cannibal corpse albums I was in Shock . It was amazing. He has written some of the best songs for cannibal corpse as well. One of my favrots is Stripped Raped and Strangled. When I hear Six Feet Under, their lryrics stayed sick and brutal thats what I love about Chris Barnes. He stays original.
Chris Barnes is the fucking mastermind of BRUTAL DEATH METAL .
