I got it from an old tape trader on Ebay. Mainly I bought it cause there is 1 track that wasn't on "Bonded By Blood", plus on side B he put an old Death Angel rehearsal which was pretty cool.

sunnO)))&Boris - ALTAR
really kinda mellow sounding, not as heavy as sunnO))) alone..not always drumming...pretty cool shit to hear when you have time to relax definitely not fast paced..kind of haunting. This is the first I've ever heard of Boris..some female vocals too,I'll have to hear this many more times over a very long period of time, very laid back music but still heavy. There's a little bit of everything on this as far as the doom element is concerned it'll take awhile for this all to sink in

If you're a Hate Eternal fan you'll love it. There's only a few cameras but it's good footage, and the sound is excellent. Only complaint is that Derek Roddy had left before this so Reno Killerich is filling in, but he does a great job.
Along with the live show there's all 3 of the videos they've done, a backstage interview which isn't great, and a guided tour of Erik Rutan's Mana Studios, past and present.

I like Hallows Eve but never heard that one.How is it compared to their first three? I never even heard of that one. It came out in 2005, and it's good, but the production is pretty terrible. Compared to their classic stuff it's not nearly as good, and is actually kinda deathy, probably due to the influence of Skullator who came back but apparently is gone again. The only remaining original member is Tommy Stewart, and he's doing most of the vocals since unfortunately Stacy Anderson didn't come back.

Great metal album without being too extreme.I think you'd like it.

I haven't gotten around to listening to the Grave Digger yet, but I've heard good things about it. The Dark Angel is really good, but don't expect the chaos of "Darkness Descends". It's more controlled and old school metal sounding, and Don Doty doesn't go totally nuts with his vocals. No Gene Hoglan either.

VIOLATOR Chemical Assault (insanely kickass old school THRASH!!!!!)
VIOLATOR Chemical Assault (insanely kickass old school THRASH!!!!!)
I absolutely love the idea of an old school thrash band named Violator. However, are they straight ahead pummelers like Slayer, sophisticated like Megadeth and Testament, nasty and accomplished like Exodus and Vio-Lence or somewhere in the middle like Metallica?

I'd have to say they're accomplished pummelers. It's a trio from Brazil, so picture Beneath The Remains/Schizophrenia era Sepultura with some more intricate riffing (not as technical as Megadeth though), a singer that does straight ahead non-singing thrash vocals, and an arsenal of changeups that would make Demolition Hammer jealous.

This is some damn good news. I now can't wait to pick up Blooddrunk, and to finally see COB live with Megadeth one month from today. Dave Mustaine + Alexi Laiho at the same show will no doubt = badass beyond belief!
