I've been wanting to see these guys since like '94 and everytime they come through something always happens, like I have to work, or they get that snooty syndrome that Kataklysm tends to get from time to time and cancel. I REALLY wanted to see them a year and a half ago and they skipped us, claiming the venue was "too small", or so I was told. Meh.....one day I'll see them. I've been meaning to ask, as I've never heard anything after Cleansing: are the rest of their albums just as heavy? I listened to all of the albums before Cleansing and I don't recall liking them all that much, but Cleanising just had a nice HEAVY tone to it. :metal

ALL Prong rules. Rude Awakening (my personal fave) is still heavy, but more melodic and "programmy" sounding (i.e., lots of drum loops, effects, synth, but all tastefully done).

Scorpio Rising is a lot more stripped down, plus everything is tuned down to B. Sweet metally goodness. :evil

Well, I've gone down to San Antonio twice in the last year and a half to see Prong. One was at the White Rabbit, don't remember the name of the other club I saw them at last year.

don't tell me about travelling to see PRONG in action. if it wasn't for PA#9 and Geronimo's kindness, I wouldn't have a TV signed SR poster in my room. and I came all the way from ITALY to ST PAUL, MN.

Yeah, Pitbull kinda blows musically. A couple of their members were cool dudes, but for the most part they suck. Somehow they landed a gig opening for Slayer in Corpus, I found that somewhat funny. A band I was in 3-4 years ago played with them for a few shows....meh. Which Sanctuary Prong gig did you see, because that was the venue they said was "too small"?

It was the last time they were in SA, in the early spring, it was still cold.

I seem to remember the reason the SA show didn't happen was the promoter changed venues at the last minute, then there was a power outage issue.... something to that effect. I think the next night was Dallas where a bunch of gear got stolen, followed by Wichita, KS where they ended up playing for about 15 minutes around three hours after they were scheduled to go on. The venue can't get any smaller than the Wichita one. Lately Prong will play just about any size venue as long as the fans show up. I for one am ready for some LIVE PRONG :headbanger

I can't wait for some live Prong (the whole meaning of this topic) because I missed them the last time around. But I had a good reason...I was meeting the one and only Troy Gregory on the same night.

No, that was the time before, This show happened, it was with the dufus tour manager, he was fired/quit a few weeks later. It was a month or so before the Ministry tour started.
