View Full Version : What is your favorite song on Nirvana's In Utero album?
What is your favorite song and why?
"Milk It" gets the win for me. The dissonance and creativity of the guitar riffing during the verses is creepy, sickening and just plain fucking weird, but I love it. The chorus is raw, as is this whole album (something that most bands dont do... get more raw after their first album), and Kurt's scream during "Test Meat" and "Doll Steak" are painful to hear cuz he's digging so deep. This song also has one of my most favorite lyrics ever: "Look on the bright side: suicide". Great album; great song.

Dammit. I find it impossible to pick just one song of these albums.
Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle is sooooo good.
But Scentless Apprentice is the winner for me on this album because of the drum intro and how bad ass it is.

"Milk It", if for nothing else than for Kurt laughing in the second chorus.

I really do love Heart-Shaped Box. My favorite is All Apologies though. I don't know, but I just love the flow of that song.

Frances Farmer will have her revenge on Seattle, it's a pretty depressing song but it's one of Kurt's best songs he wrote in my opinion
The only song I recall from In Utero is "Heart-Shaped Box," but I must say that it's quite badass!

Yeah, I've been no big Nirvana fan as of the past few years, but I still can't deny that 'Heart-Shaped Box' is a pretty good song, and I even covered 'Rape Me' when I was eighteen in my solo project.

Great way to pick between the singles. Have you actually listened to the rest of the album?
Anyway, either milk it (creeeepy) or Tourette's because kurt made up all the lyrics as they recorded it.

Server the Servants. Great opening line 'Teenage angst has paid off well, now I'm old and tired'...

Aneurysm is a great fucking song. Incesticide is my second favorite Nirvana album, In Utero is my favorite, it's just dark as fuck-all.
