Hmmm? Wikipedia says The film's budget is officially $258 million, but either way it needs to blow the doors off theaters worldwide. I think it will though.

No shit! I heard Howard Stern making jokes one day about how she isn't that hot and I just didn't get it. I always thought she was the type I would make a fool of myself for back when I was single.

Er...I don't get the Spiderman flicks, they're not really my thing at all....only comic book oriented movies I dug were 1 or 2 of the Batman flicks. Even then I kinda felt silly watching them to a degree... I watched the first two Spiderman flicks and couldn't get into it. Seemed hokey....

Seemed hokey....
Of course it was! Cheesy, campy, and a total escape from reality. That is what I liked about them. They were so goofy at times that it was great. :rotfl

I think the metal I like just knows it's cheesy and has fun with it. You are right. A big part of what I like in metal is the tongue in cheek humor.
Oh, and anyone who is expecting me to be offended about the 80's comment shouldn't hold their breathe. I am all about the 80's. :pinky

It's not dark at all. It's pretty damn goofy to be honest. It kind of makes fun of comic book heroes.
When they launched the cartoon the target audience was kids, but instead they ended up with nothing but college kids watching it. So advertisers were pissed and the cartoon got canned. I have boots of it until they release it officially. I would pay several hundred no problem for an official box set of the cartoon. Ask Amon, I have all kinds of stupid Tick crap. :rotfl

Dude, the TICK RULES!!!! Ok, yes I actually like some cartoons.....and Tick was big when I was 18-19.
SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!
Spiderman 3 was pretty damn good and the effects sere awesome. The dance scene was a bit too much. You'll see what I mean.
BTW I did hear on TV that this movie is rumored to have had the largest budget in history, over 500 million.
The theaters are pretty busy today but not crazy due to it's playing on so many screens that one starts every half hour.
i'll check it out sometime in the next month or two. i love spiderman flicks... but finding the time to go and actually see a movie is damn near impossible.

Saw it this weekend. It was good, but not even close to being as good as the first two. There was way too much stuff going on to focus on character development and especially Peter's attitude change from the black suit. They also should have saved the Sandman for the next one and focused on Venom.

I about puked my guts out on the mushy-ness level of this movie....other than the gayness of the love story---the movie rocked. :monkeybang

So I just got back from the movie. I thought it was good. Sure it was predictable as hell, but I don't think they could have done it any better without going against the respected story that has already been set. I liked how they had two villains myself. It kind of gave this trilogy a good crescendo.
If they try to go for a fourth one they better do something really amazing though or this thing will get stale quick. Not too many stories can survive past the standard trilogy.
I also didn't find it as nauseatingly mushy as some of you lead me to believe it was going to be.
For you few locals, I watched it at the brand new Capital Mall theaters. Damn did they do a major remodel on that place! It is pretty much a copy of the Lacey one except less crowded and easier to get in and out of.
Cool, I was curious about the new theater. I probably won't go to it due to it's location and since it's not a Regal Cinema I can't use my Regal card to get free goodies.
just saw this last night. WHAT A FUCKING DISAPPOINTMENT! oh god, i feel so let down. spiderman 1 and 2 kicked ass and they totally dropped the ball with the third one. im pretty upset about it too.
