I'll second you on "Edge," VJ. Great hooks, riffs and, like you said, that unmistakable intro. I think "Cryin'" actually charted higher, at least here in the U.S., but "Edge" is definitely their signature song. Overall, it's probably about number three on my list, behind "I Try" and "Love Is a Killer."

I'd give an honorable mention to "Cruisin'." That's another one that REALLY rocks live.

This is really hard....but here we go....from the first record Charmed Life, Love Made Me and Cryin'.....From Rev It Up: Streets In Paradise, Only A Heartbeat Away and Wrecking Ball.....From Live & Learn: I Try, Don't Want It Anymore and the great cover of Suffragette City.....I just couldn't choose just one:)

My favorite song on the self titled album is actually "Waiting", I think that would have made a great single!

Even with all their good tunes, I have to agree. For me, it is Edge of a Broken Heart as well. I love the harmony vocals!

I like the old stuff, but Live and Learn is the only song I've heard off the new album so far (can't find a copy around my little burg) and I loved hearing that live.

While the old stuff is good, I'd much rather hear songs by the CURRENT lineup. Those are the ones I'm going to see in concert if they come anywhere near me again.

I just may have to order both CDs off Amazon if I can't find them in the college town 30 minutes south of here.

Shooter: You can listen to three songs from "Live & Learn" on the Vixen myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/vixenrock): Anyway, Little Voice and I Try. Give 'em a listen; you will NOT be disappointed. Also, you can order the CD through their website.

Personally, I would rank I Try in my top five songs for this entire decade. I bet I've played that track two thousand times in the last four months.

You might also want to pick up a copy of "Extended Versions." It's a live recording of their classics, performed by the current lineup.

I've checked the Best Buy in Wausau and every Wal-Mart in the area, and no dice on the Extended Versions (I own several of those disks and think they are the BOMB!) or the new CD. So if the more liberal stores in Stevens Point don't have them, I'll have to go online to get my fix.

My favorite song from Vixen... wow that's a hard question to answer to! I hope i won't get slain for saying this but I dind't like the way Vixen sounded in the first place. I was lucky enough to watch the girls live before buying the album and they kicked ass. But then the album somehow failed to recapture the amazing atmosphere they created in their live shows: my 2 favorite songs from the gig were definitely Cruisin' and Hell Raisers because of the energy they delivered. Too bad that the studio version didn't do justice to them. But then well, ok, I'd still pick Cruisin' and Hell Raisers, with Cryin' close third. Charmed Life and Rock Me were great too. Then Give it Away, which would be my easy first choice, was it on the album.

My favorite would have to be "Love made me" and "Fallen Hero" I also like the guitar breakdown in Wrecking Ball.
