Vixen in Beverly Hills, 90210

was anyone here a fan of Berverly Hills, 90210?? I was watching re-runs today and in the 'Slumber Party' episode, Steve and Brandon are riding in a car with two girls and in the backgrouns was 'Streets in Paradise'...I was sooo socked!! I put the volume way up!!! it was sooo coool!!!...anyone else got this??

Never watched 90210, or any other soap for that matter, but it is cool to see a favorite song pop up somewhere unexpected. I had the exact same reaction a while back when I caught Steelheart's "She's Gone" playing on a kid's stereo on some TV show or the other.

From what I understand, obtaining licensing rights for songs is one of the more common things that holds up the video release of older TV shows. Sometimes they even give up and just replace the original songs with something else that they can get rights to.

Never watched to show, cause it sucked, but way cool they played a Vixen track though....I saw one of the episodes were La Guns Phil Lewis had a minor role....

Yep i watched that show such a long time ago now cant remember the song being on there though.
I did read about this somewhere before on the net but i cant remember where now.
nice though that they used Vixens music on a t.v show.
On the same subject did you know the theme tune wasnt originally what they wanted to use for the show they wanted to use 'Just like paradise' by David Lee Roth but they didn't offer him enough money so he turned them down.

I looooooooooove BH 90210! I don't remember Vixen being in it though. I own the first two seasons on DVD, but the music has been replaced...bummer!!!! Too bad they didn't get to play at the Peach Pit after dark!! lol. (BH 90210 fans will know what that is) :drool

haha, well the band wasn't on the show, the song was playing in the background...LOL...I looooove BH 90210 too :)
