I went to my local FYE a couple weeks back and seen what I didn't expect to see, a used copy of Maximum Violence, being that this FYE really doesn't have a good metal selection itself this was kind of shocking considering the availability of the CD and also because extreme metal isn't popular at all here. So I had to get it, I had watched live videos of Feasting On The Blood of The Insane, Torture Killer, and Hacked To Pieces and I had to get this CD.
I bought this CD and to me this is deifnitely better than 13, the only other SFU CD I have, it doesn't have a bad song on it though Track 4
Shortcut To Hell is a decent song but the worst on the album. This Graveyard Earth is a better slower song than Track 4. Everything else is either good, very good, or great and Barnes uses different growls throughout to make a varied sound though his vocals by this time have changed and became darker?(there's some type of change, raspier maybe, I don't know what the word is for it) I think, I can tell it's him but not quite like Cannibal Corpse's The Bleeding CD, though his vocals are very good as usual despite the change. This CD is very good, I plan on doing a Metal-Archives review of this CD eventually.
The highlights of the album are:
Feasting On The Blood of The Insane
Bonesaw
No Warning Shot
War Machine
Torture Killer
Hacked To Pieces
Victim of The Paranoid is good but a step below the highlights.
I'd give it an 8.5/10.
What'd you think of Maximum Violence?

Yeah, it's very good, what I really want to get is The Haunted, I think I'd like that more than Maximum Violence. The Enemy Inside \m/

yer that hacked to pieces song is mmy favourite
'I will violate you ' !!!! classic barnes!
then theres that low ass growl of just 'rot' thats so good.
Anyone heard much off warpath???, coz all ive heard is revenge of the zombie which i love and will buy the album if the rest of it is like that. But apparently its their worst one
Saying that i brought 13 after hearing shadow of the reaper and thats the only song on the cd that sounds like that, but the other songs arent as good, cept for deathklaat and decomposition of the human race.

How is it apparently the worst album?
"Revenge Of The Zombie" is the upbeat song on that album. Rest of it is kinda slow death groove. Sorry if that doesn't make sense that is how I know how to explain it.

Yeah, I really like Hacked To Pieces, the "rot, your body will rot" part is great,

Barnes puts in some of his pig vox on it, sooo good.
Check it out on youtube guys, most of the full force set is on there.

My Maximum Violence tastes are pretty much the same as yours, some of SFU's best stuff. These ones are classic SFU;
Feasting on the Blood of the Insane
No Warning Shot
Hacked to Pieces
and for Warpath, I love Revenge of the Zombie and Non-Existence. And if I read right, all you have is MV and 13, you should really get Haunted, True Carnage and Bringer of Blood, all are outstanding CDs.
Oh and check out Maximum Video too, I recommend it, I like the guy getting buried theme behind it lolz

^Yeah, I considered eventually getting Maximum Video on DVD but 13 and Max Violence being different in many ways, I've enoyed both and occasionally pull out 13 for the Deathklaat. The Haunted is the next orderable SFU album I plan on getting, I can't find it in stores but maybe I'l get lucky and find a used one at FYE again. :D
