ROCKLAHOMA BECOMES WORLDWIDE PHENOMENA
PRYOR, OK --- With ticket sales reaching across six continents, Rocklahoma has become a worldwide phenomena.

“The eyes of the world are on Rocklahoma,” said Mark Nuessle, General Manager of Catch the Fever Music Festivals. “Rocklahoma has struck a chord that has reverberated around the globe. We have sold tickets to ‘80’s rock fans in all 50 states and across six continents. Rocklahoma has literally become one of the largest music festivals in the world.”

Twenty-three bands are scheduled to play during the three-day festival, making Rocklahoma the largest ‘80’s rock festival of its kind to be organized. Two weeks ago, when Twisted Sister was announced as Rocklahoma’s headliner, word spread like wildfire via satellite radio and the World Wide Web. Rocklahoma’s draw is most likely a combination of the bands’ talents and the sheer number of bands playing at the event, said Dave Giencke, Director of Operations for Catch the Fever Music Festivals.

“The worldwide ticket sales we are seeing with Rocklahoma show the power these bands have held on to over all these years. One of these bands would sell-out an arena in the ‘80’s. They left their fans wanting more. Now those fans are lining up to be a part of history when, for the first time, all these bands are coming together to play in one setting,” Giencke said.

With VH-1 Classic Host, Eddie Trunk, as Master of Ceremonies, Rocklahoma’s three-day line-up is:

Friday (July 13, 2007)

Poison, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Slaughter, Y&T, and White Lion

Saturday (July 14, 2007)

Vince Neil, Dokken, Winger, Skid Row, Warrant, Firehouse, Enuff Z Nuff, Faster Pussycat, Bulletboys and Bang Tango

Sunday (July 15, 2007)

Twisted Sister, W.A.S.P., Jackyl, Great White, LA Guns, Steelheart and Britny Fox

Ticket sales around the world are making Rocklahoma one of the most successful events of Oklahoma’s Centennial Celebration as ‘80’s rock fans will converge on the state from locations as far away as Japan, Australia and South Africa.

“I said early-on that Rocklahoma would exceed all attendance expectations but there was no way of knowing Rocklahoma’s draw would reach so far,” said Giencke. “This will be an incredible three days of music with an incredible audience. Anyone who wants to witness history had better already have their tickets or get them now.”

ROCKLAHOMA, an official Oklahoma Centennial event presented by Rock Fever and Miller Lite, will be held July 13-15, 2007, at the Catch the Fever Festival Grounds four miles north of Pryor, OK just off highway 69.

Tickets to ROCKLAHOMA are on sale and available by calling toll free (866) 310-2288 or online at www.rockfeverfest.com. Tickets are:

One Day General Admission
$ 40.00 plus handling fees and tax

Three Days General Admission
$ 90.00 plus handling fees and tax

VIP Tickets

(Good all three days, reserved seating, and all the beer and food you can eat)
$ 275.00 plus handling fees and tax

TWISTED SISTER TO HEADLINE ROCKLAHOMA
PRYOR, OK --- Today heavy metal fans across the nation heard the news they’ve been hoping for from House Of Hair nationally-syndicated radio host and Twisted Sister frontman, Dee Snider!

“It is my distinct pleasure to announce that Twisted Sister will once again be involved with a show that will go down in history. On July 15th, Twisted has just been confirmed as the headliner for the ROCKLAHOMA Festival,” Snider said during his weekly radio show. “Rocklahoma will go down as one of the most momentous concerts of all time.” (Click and listen: rocklahoma )

Twisted Sister’s ROCKLAHOMA appearance is the band’s only announced North American show for 2007. Twisted Sister, full on with costume, make-up and all five original members --- Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Mark "The Animal" Mendoza, Eddie "Fingers" Ojeda and AJ Pero --- along with Twenty two bands from that era will appear at ROCKLAHOMA, the largest rock festival of its kind to ever be organized. To date, ROCKLAHOMA’s three-day line-up includes:

“When I tell you that this will be the most incredible line-up ever, you have to believe me. Check it out. Over three days, you’ll have the chance to see so many bands that your head might explode --- like that dude in the Judas Priest video,” Snider said, making reference to the 1982 Judas Priest video for “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin.”

Twisted Sister is known for extravagant makeup and shock tactics, as well as for the rebellious mood of their heavy metal music. The band formed in New York in 1976 and played primarily in clubs. The 1984 release of the Twisted Sister’s third album, “Stay Hungry,” brought the band international fame. Videos for the album’s hit singles, “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock” ran constantly on MTV. “Stay Hungry” sold more than 2 million copies by the summer of ’85 and went on to sell more than 3 million copies in the following years. In late 1985, Twisted Sister released their fourth album, “Come Out and Play,” which went gold. Over a span of 30 years, the band released over a dozen albums, including “A Twisted Christmas” in 2006.

Although rumors have been circulating about whether or not band members might retire Twisted Sister, Snider recently put an end to those rumors by discussing ROCKLAHOMA.

“On the Twisted Sister retirement front. Ain’t happening,” he said. “We’re strappin’ on the spandex one more time.”

This is actually pretty cool. Instead of just Vince Neil playing they should have gotten Motley Crue. They would be the headliner for sure. Ratt is way better than Twisted Sister.

I think it is all about the cheese. You know how I love the camp and cheese. Twisted Sister puts on a much more elaborate show. Plus I like Dee's vocals better. Stephen's vocals always bugged me to be honest. :shrug

Don't get me wrong, I love Ratt too. I just like TS way more. :metal

Twisted Sister never had the sweet guitar riffs and melody's that make Ratt awesome. DeMartini is an awesome guitarist. I always thought TS only had 2 good songs, but Ratt has alot of great songs. Ratt and Motey Crue have always been my favorites of 80's Buttrock.

This festival would be so awesome to see. I like Ratt alot, but agree that Twisted Sister would be alot more fun to watch.

I did read on Blabbermouth today that Stephen is back singing with Ratt again. I did not see if the Hair Fest was included in this, though.

Yeah, I am pretty sure that Stephen is part of this. Of course we all know this won't last long. Which of course makes this event all the more important for all of us that never got to see the original line up. I am pretty sure that everyone except the one who died and another guy are part of this reunion.

Dee Snider was on Howard Stern's Sirius Satellite radio show today.

He was talking about this Rocklahoma "Hair-Fest" coming up this summer.

Lot's of laughs, former Death drummer Richard Christy is all pumped up about seeing it.

Bay Area band Yesterday And Today aka Y&T are my sentimental favorites at this gig.

Guitarist Dave Meniketti and drummer Leonard Haze (fastest foot in the business) are a couple of my hero's...:monkeybang

I have seen them play live more than any other band, Their first five CD's are great.

"Yesterday & Today" (self-titled), "Struck Down", "Earthshaker", "Black Tiger" and "Mean Sreak".

Then they went too glam for this fan, here they are back in 1985 right as they started to turn pretty...:D

That's funny Mark... that was about the final straw for me when Y&T put that song out.

You can't blame them though, everyone was trying to get on MTV back in those days..

That said...it would be a crime if Y&T don't play "Summertime Girls" at Rocklahoma, and they might as well play "Lipstick In Leather" too...:monkeyspank

The first Yesterday And Today album is still my favorite from them....:metal

I saw Y&T the other night in Sacramento, they played twenty-some classic songs during a non-stop two hour set..:monkeybang

Y&T reminded me of why they are one of my favorite bands of All-Time.

Scott Travis from Judas Priest is also a big fan and was hanging out in the crowd.

They have a new DVD that will soon be released in the USA.

I talked with some people that went and they said Twisted Sister kicked ass.

Dokken, Great White, Poison, Jackyl and Steelheart also had strong sets.

I heard that Steelheart played all of those songs that their singer sang in the movie "Rockstar"....:monkeyspank
