On my way home from work, I drive by the local high school located a few miles outside of town. The road I was driving down intersects with another road with stop signs on either side, giving me the right of way going north or south. I was going 55 or 60 mph and this guy at the last minute pulls out in front of me forcing me to slam on my brakes. I have a VERY short fuse when it comes to stupid people. I lay on the horn and the guy looks in the rear-view mirror looking at me like " What did I do? " This is why I do not carry a gun!

yea. i encounter about 6 of those kinds of drivers a day. if i had a gun, a good portion of new jersians would be laid out already.

I feel you man. There are all kinds of idiot drivers all over the roads no matter where you live. I could probably bitch about at LEAST one person a day.

Oh my god! We should make a "who pissed you off in traffic today" thread! That would be hilarious. I know I'd be able to contribute to it daily. In fact, this morning, there was a guy who wanted to go about 50 in a 35. I was going 40 (I usually go 5 mph over if it's safe) in the left lane, he got sick of being behind the person in the right lane, so soon as I was past that person he swerves all erratically right behind me and rides my 40 mph-going ass until there is just barely enough room for him to get back in front of slow right lane person, then he zooms up to about 50 mph, and then there is another slow person in front of him.

I just keep going steadily and watching this guy swerve in and out of lanes, speeding up to 50 or so, swerving out from behind someone, getting stuck behind another slow person, swerving around them again, following WAY too closely, etc... till we get about a half mile down the road and end up at the same light. So much for him driving like an ass eh? Didn't get him anywhere any faster. I was scared he was going to swerve into or rear end someone. He was following me WAY too close for my comfort!

i try to drive as little as possible because i get MAD on the road. something about driving cuts my fuse in half and i get pissed quickly. i dont own guns and im glad i dont.

I used to get really angry and get all crazy and honk and stuff when someone pissed me off.

Now I just call them a sarcastic string of curse words. Last night I called someone a string of cursewords till I ran out of breath. Then my husband told me to calm down and stop being so angry. The annoying thing is I'm not really all that angry, and I don't like him to think I am... I'm more just voicing my annoyance at someone being stupid. Hey, at least I don't honk and flip the bird anymore. My road rage has been much improved. It not like the person can hear me and be insulted by my calling them 20 names.

What about cars that drive at a turtles pace in the round a bouts. I'm on a bike and I pass them and leave them in my dust. It's like they have never seen a damn circle or something. :rolleyes

There are very few people in the US that actually can drive a roundabout. I like taking my big van through them; I can throw my weight around a bit :D

Self control isn't the issue here! People just don't give a shit, they figure you will slow down and not hit them. What happens when I am not able to slow down. If I am by myself in the car, I will be mad but not nearly as mad if my wife and or kids are with me. If they get hurt, all hell will break loose!!!
