Yeah, this turned into a really bad PR move for them.

yea...that's pretty bad.
i still love the shoes though. i'm a boot whore.
i have two pairs of leather boots (bought long before i became a vegan), but i decided long ago never to buy doc martins. they don't hold up to punishment like caterpillars and other work boots. dr martins are more of a fashion boot than a work boot. i remember lots of kids in high school wearing docs and they were always falling apart and my caterpillars were always champions. once my two pairs of boots wear down (probably in a few years, the boots i have always bought have always been long lasting) i will be excited to research vegan boots.

I love my Carhartt's. Bought one pair and now I could never imagine putting anything else on my feet. Very comfortable. Fuck tennis shoes!

So there is a boot brand called caterpillars? Does it feel like walking on something that is a cross between a foot massager and a cloud? How much do they normally cost?
The boots I buy are pretty pricey, but worth it. However, if there was a brad that was better or just as good and cheaper, I would be open. Just no tennis shoes anymore.
caterpillars are made by the tractor company that you see at construction sites. they cost about 150 bucks and they are heaven in a boot.

As far as boots go Red Wings has life gaurantees on theirs.I have a pair of logging boots I bought there about 15 years ago when I need them again I'll bring them back to Red Wings and they'll oil 'em up for free too. They also sell walking shoes and boots.Great Company 100% gauranteed. Kinda pricey though.

I prefer military issue combat boots myself.

Yeah... if I was in charge of this company I don't think I would have gone through with this ad campaign.
But I don't really find it all that offensive.

I liked Docs for a long time, I've probably owned about 10 pairs of them, in all kinds of colors.
I miss my docs.

I prefer Corcorans. They'll last ten times as long as any pair of Docs.
