In a perfect world, which Democrat candidate do you think would do that best job? Which one SHOULD get the nomination?

This is not about who you think would win. This is not about picking the lesser of two evils. This is about who you think would do the best job.

No talk about them damn conservatives in this poll. They will have a poll of their own already. :P

Remember the rules of debate at RMM:
1. No insults...just facts
2. No partisan references. This includes but is not limited to Fox News, Move On, small two papers, Micheal Moore, & the others.

my vote would go with kucinich or bill richardson. but kucinich wins by a hair. we really have a lot of good candidates on the left this time around. the heavy hitters (obama, clinton and edwards) will probably get the nod, though. kucinich is the man though. AND HE'S A VEGAN!

I sure wish last election it was Edwards/Kerry on the card not the other way around. I think then we wouldn't have fake conservative in office.

Right now the only one who has totally lost my vote is Clinton. Every time she opens her mouth she pisses me off.

How so? I just don't listen to her.

My friend is willing to bet that she gets desperate and tries to swing a religious vote. Something along the line of Hilary and Bill having a religous exprience and being a stronger family. It would be funny as hell if she did that.

you and me both. she plays politics unashamedly. she doesnt even TRY to hide it.

the fact that she said that she thinks that america is safer after 911 the other day completely lost any confidence that i did have in her.

Like Vish said above, "she said that she thinks that america is safer after 911 the other day". That pretty much blew it for me. It told me that she is either really delusional or has zero backbone.

But his wife is the worst enemy of musical freedom. In 1985, she co-founded the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) with Susan Baker, wife of then United States Secretary of the Treasury James Baker, because Tipper heard her then 12-year-old daughter playing "Darling Nikki" by Prince. This group was criticized by musicians including Dee Snider of Twisted Sister.

and for the old people, the criticism was legitimized by john denver.

this has been bothering me for a while... the title should read "Which DEMOCRATIC candidate should get the nomination"... the republicans started calling the democratic party the "democrat party" as an underhanded way of insulting the party which has seeped into the mainstream media over the years thanks to rush limbaugh, bill orielley, sean hannity and the like...

Interesting. If this is true then I would say that the Democratic party has taken ownership of the term. I never thought of it as a negative thing at all. So where many have failed at taking the negative out of insulting words this might be a case where it was actually done.

Now I have heard the term liberal used as a negative thing, so that is why I always tell people that I am a proud liberal douchebag. :rotfl Seriously, the majority of my beliefs do lean to the left, but I stay away from the term Democrat because I don't 100% agree with their platform. I am a liberal, but not really a Democrat. So I prefer liberal or liberal douchebag. :pinky

like i said "underhanded"... republicans (mainly through the genius of newt gingrich... he's a douche, but he's one of the most brilliant politicians of our times... like karl rove) say "the democrat party" because it is "the democratic party"... its just sorta... underhanded, and unless you are a liberal political talk junkie like i am, you wouldnt really hear much about it.

Yeah, I'm more of a tech talk radio junkie. :D Honestly, I don't think their trick worked this time. I don't even get what the insult is supposed to be. Just seems more like the person saying wrong is stupid and doesn't know better if people even notice at all.

In short, I think that sometimes liberals stress over things that really don't matter. One of the many things I think hold back liberals overall.
