removethesite has been down for too long. Flips has been trying to find a new host, but doesn't have much time to get things back as they were. We decided on godaddy, but that was the last I heard a few weeks ago. He owns the domain, so I am powerless to make any changes as far as setting up a new host, or telling the powers to be to point the domain to it's new home. I was wondering if you are able to offer DNS services. If so, I could see about having RTS pointed to a personal account of mine on my Cox ISP account as the homepage, I can then setup a server here at home and run it from here, or Flips can run it from his .MAC account. Just to get the ball rolling again, I think it would be easier to have the domain pointed to a place myself or flips can have easy access to.

Nope. I have tried to learn how to do that, but not with any luck at all. My DNS is all done by the guy I host everything through. Maybe if you move the domain registry to him, he could do that for you.

Go Daddy has always had people pissed off with these kinds of issues. That is why I have never used them. The place I use is www.TheMothership.net. They cost about the same as Go Daddy, but the customer service is way better.

the final reason for going with godaddy as the new host was the big boobs.

The original host sent us an email saying thanks for using our free servive for these past few years, but you now have to pay through the nose for continued service, and oh by the way, you have less than a day to decide before we delete your account and all of your files. The new host isn't the problem. It is getting the domain transfered to someone that can point it to it's new home where ever that my be. I'll tell flips about your host. Perhaps I should look into free dns services as well. With the pending album, it would nice to have the site back up and running.

flips somehow needs to contact the people he has the domain registered through and have them point the domain to a new IP/Host

Yeah, I mentioned The Mothership more for the domain registry. DNS comes with domain registry. So it was a somewhat cheap solution.

I also use the Mothership for my domain name and DNS services. I've never had a problem with customer service and everything is great with them!
