Who digs these guys? With Doomsday X coming out soon, it should be a RIPPER. I'm hoping they tour through Texas and I can actually SEE them.....last time they came through town on my wedding day....meh.

Anyways, the record store I frequent just got in a copy of Fine Art Of Murder for me, I'm picking it up manana. Deathboy, what are your thoughts on these Floridians?

Coincidentally, I'm listening to "Envenomed" at this very moment. I've been a huge fan for many years. "The Ten Commandments" is my favorite from them, and one of the best death metal albums of all time. The last few albums they've put out have been awesome, so I'm very stoked to hear "Doomsday X", which I just ordered yesterday. It's a shame they're not more popular, as the quality of their stuff over the years is definitely above most, not to mention the quality of the recent albums compared to their longevity, it seems like they can do no wrong.

i remember getting a copy of a demo through tape trading way back in the day and truly enjoying it. then throughout the years they have been a solid straight up death metal act. you really can't go wrong with anything they have put out. right in the vein of obituary or my favorites of the newer breed, bloodbath.

i'd hafta go ahead and give 'em @ 9/10 :headbanger

Agreed....I really love Homicidal Rant off of Envenomed. Eternal and Warkult are sweet as well.

Malevolent is one of the few bands that have gone through such extreme and constant lineup changes, and stylistic changes, but still manages to sound like the same band.

Hey SUAD, have you heard "Envenomed II"? It's got 3 bonus tracks, 2 of which are old demo cuts and the other is a KILLER cover of "Perish in Flames" from Dark Angel.

Hey Mark, are you accepting questions for your Brett Hoffman interview?

Interview was done on Sunday, so no. Sorry about that. I should start a pm group or something for people that want to help with questions. :pinky

Envenomed 2? No......sounds cool though. It's a re-release? I like MC and all, but I hate it when bands rerelease discs with 1-5 extra songs. Feels liks a ripoff, ya know? If I can find it in a used store, I'll pick it up.

I usually don't get those kind of reissues either, but this one was too good to pass up.
