Has SFU ever been in any movie soundtracks? I know they'd be perfect for very many horror movies.

Shit there haven't been very many metalhead movies made in a long time that weren't documentaries. What's up with that shit? There haven't even been that many parts in movies even played by a metalhead lately.Fucking idiot film makers.Fucking directors need to get their shit together!

I was talking about this exact thing in a few recent interviews. The Get Thrashed guy was thining about maybe doing one in the future. I also have a future interview (done but not yet transcribed) where a guy talks about a movie he is already working on. It has Peter Steele playing a vamp.

As far as the whole horror movie thing goes, I'd say someone should get going. In today's world all you need is a good Mac with their movie maker software (I think it comes with that) and a good camera. Then grab a couple friends, surf the web for 'indie horror movie' tips, and you are set.

This is how Sam Rami got started and now he is getting paid ridiculous amounts of money for doing the Spiderman movies. His investment to make his first horror movie (Evil Dead) was much bigger though because computers were not ready to do what they can today and we didn't have digital cameras. Digital makes things about 1% the price in production. :metal

I've had lotsa ideas for weird movies I don't have a budget though.
Maybe I could give the film makers my ideas but I don't know any.
That's what they get paid for.I get paid to clean their toilets.:cry

About 5 grand would cover everything you need. I know that sounds likie a ton of money, but put just a little away each month and you can do it. $200 a month and you have your camera at the end of the year. Another year and you have the computer you would need. If you could do $500 a month you could make it to your goal in one year! Come on buddy...you can do it! I have faith in ya!

How about this, if you can save that in one year for the equipment, I will match that for the promotion of your first film.

the most recent appearences i can think of are alice cooper in an episode of 'monk,' and rammstein on 'xXx.' other than that, i don't think any extreme form of metal, specifically black or death, is really all that marketable. ironically, even though death metal has a lot to do with gore and guts, i can't really picture it being a soundtrack to a horror film. although, i know that there was a movie 'bathory' that was in the making sometime last year. i'm not sure what happened with that though, because in middle of filming, the lead actress was dropped and i'm not sure if a new one was chosen. either the production just stopped, or the movie is on a 'hiatus.' that could've been a really badass movie.

I agree with you, the songs about gore and mutilation would not work that well. However songs that are more like "Ghosts of the Undead" could work out. Speaking of wich I was thinking about making a music video for the game Dead Rising using "Revenge of the Zombie." Only I don't know how to take videos on the 360:cry. If anybody knows how or knows a site that explains it pretty well, could you private message instructions or the site to me?
