Has anybody seen this flick? my neighbors bought it for me because they thought that i would like it, so i finally watched it the other night. Holy fucking shit i loved this movie (my wife thought it was pretty decent too, and she HATES gore). im not even a fan of gore all that much, but this movie was awesome. mel gibson is my new favorite movie director. i loved the passion of the christ and braveheart... and this movie was just as good.

Apacalypto was much better than I expected it to be however it's such a long movie that it's not good enough to watch again.

I'm all for the beating and humiliation of Jesus Christ but that movie bored the hell out of me.

this is quite possibly one of my top 10 movies. i effing love it. the gore, the heartbreak, and the brutality of ancient civilization is awsome.

Excellent movie. The poor guy that was trying to have kids was funny as well.....well, until he ate shit in those fields when they were trying to run away. I loved the bloodiness of this movie....the ONLY problem we had (my wife and I) was when they were raiding the peaceful tribe's village in the beginning and that one warrior was swining the baby around....not exactly fun for a parent to watch. Everything else in the movie: excellent!
