I think after serveal listens that 13 and Commandment are becoming 2 of my all time favorites SFU albums. I think these 2 are their best in years. I am really happy and satisfied with the new cd Commandment. I was wondering what they would deliver after the brutal return to form on 13 and the amazing boxset.

Don't get me wrong,I like 10 out of the 11 tracks on Bringer Of Blood, but in my opinion 13 and Commandment are up their with Haunted,Maximum Violence, and True Carnage. I love how SFU can create brutality without all the constant blasting (although i do like Krisiun, haha). I agree with John from Incantation when he said that brutality is a feeling, not a speed.
To me,SFU creates brutality perfectly on their classick albums Haunted,Maximum Violence,True Carnage,13,and Commadment.

I also love Chris' lyrics on the last 2 albums too,he seems to get even better with age as do the other members too. I hope they keep it going until they can't play anymore! Here's to another decade in the grave!

I wasn't to impressed with 13 and Commandment. I prefer the older stuff...

I didn't care much for 13, but Commandment kicks ass.

When I'm in a shitty mood everything sounds like crap.
When I'm feeling o.k. some things sound great.
I can listen to SFU in a shitty mood and want to kill someone.
Other times they just boost my spirit.
13 and Commandment are great pieces of work.
Maximum Violence and True Carnage came out in a very trying part of my life and I used to love walking back from the hall at night with my headphones on in the cool breeze thinking about murder.I used to really hate this fucking world.

you must not be a true diehard fan of SFU. i be the first to tell you, the 13 album came off a little crappy. after twisting it a few times and reading the lyrics, 13 is a badass, kick you in the face with a steel toe boot album.
and the album commandent jus badass right out the gate.:finger

13 had some filler and faded near the end but had some good and a couple great songs, I've yet to lget Commandment yet, I think I'll like it better than 13.

Not loving every single album a band has, doesn't define a fan of their music. There are alot of bands that I am a "diehard" fan of, but I am not fond of everyone of their songs or even their albums! :rolleyes

Commandment rules, but I like Warpath the most. Still, I think SFU's newer material is great and highly enjoyable.

i think commandment and max violence are the best 2

!3 has some tracks that are a bit pointless, and bringer of blood i got when i thought my girlfriend mite be pregnant, so now when i listen to it i remember that so unless im drinking i dont play it too much.

I really dont like true carnage, maximum violence is so much better and it came out before, i thought if anything true carnage should be their first album as sound progresses, but true carnage sort of went the other way, there are some good tunes on it, but songs like snakes...? whats the point? Howeever the lyrics Ice T says are brutal as fuck which is cool, reminds me of necro a bit.

Anyway , commandment rules!!! ghosts of the undead is like my favourite sfu song, that or torture killer.

I still listen to Commendment on my way to work at night.
Some of the faster songs like Ressurection of the Rotten have been growing on me too. Ghosts Of The Undead is still the best song on it.It has the catchiest death vibes on that album:barnes

13 was the first of SFU album that caused for my concern. It borderlined the end of the good shit, and the start of the "not so my style" shit. I play Six feet under damn near every time I listen to music. 13 gets played about 1/4th as much as the rest. Commandment only made it in the CD player for the first 2 or 3 days of owning it, and never gets played since. Tell you the truth coincidently, I think the albums best to worst are in the order they were released excluding the graveyard classics and live albums. This is hard to say because I idolize SFU so much, but honestly these last two albums have disappointed me. I have been waiting since bringer of blood to feel the aggression from six feet like we once did. 13 was a good album to tie me over, but commandments making me hit the panic button. It’s the only album that didn’t top the CC days. I say slap the tunings half a step up (Db) and release the raw aggression that only six feet under is capable of doing. I’m looking forward to seeing the band in Dallas for concert # 3

^Cool, I hear Commandment is good, but I havent heardany great songs from it yet, 13, Bringer of Blood, True Carnage Max Violence, and The Haunted have great songs, I'm just a little skeptical of getitng Commandment, maybe I shouldt be.
At Mythos: Was that you posting on my thread at Ultimate Metal?
