beer never caused me to gain much when I used to drink, but I didn't eat much then because it always took more to get drunk on a full stomach.
but then again I never drank responsibly either.:drool

Next time stick to your guns when someone offers you like that again.;)

BTW it's never too late for the Mythos diet...
Coffee and Cigarettes and lots of 'em .. (only for the extremely Hardcore dieters):evil

Nah, I don't regret it at all. It only took me back two weeks and I have been loosing weight too fast lately anyways. :monkey

A couble of beers and some ketchup? That shouldn't have a week's worth of effect on ya, man. If so, something else is missing from the equation....did you miss a workout or two?

I've been going to the gym twice a day for almost 2 full weeks now (well...6 days a week....). I lift in the mornings and do 45 minutes of cardio (yawn) in the evening before bed/after work. To give an idea of just doing that little bit of exercise can affect your metabolism:

I consumed roughly 1,900 calories before going to bed last night (on top of what I would say was about 26-2800 calories throughout my day) and when I woke up this morning, I was 3 lbs. LIGHTER. I know to a lot of people it sounds heinous, but you need calories to burn calories....now I'm 6'2, 297 lbs, so my calorie intake, especially when factoring in intense workouts twice a day, will vary from yours. But I think what the problem is Mark is just stepping up a lifting regimen and some extra calories. You might be surprised.

Yes, but you forget that every person is different. That is pretty much the whole point of my videocast. it is to give hope to those that do not loose weight as easy as most do.

Many people give up because they do what the majority do and don't loose anything. So they loose hope and give up. With my videocast I want to show those people that there is still hope and that they are not the only ones who have to fight as hard as they do.

I know one person that is doing everything that I am doing and still not loosing weight. So some have to fight even harder then I do.

Again, everyone is different. ;)

Oh, no doubt, man, no doubt. I didn't forget, I just didn't mention it, bro. I've been in the field of diet and exercise (as a hobby) for years now, man, so really...all I have to fall back on is.....um....experience. I certainly don't mean to belittle anyone's fight to lose weight in any way at all, but rather I do have information that I have gathered through years of reading and just talking to gym rats from here to the east coast. I've spoken with professional athletes, doctors, trainers, and just regular folks who dig working out and picked out a ton of stuff that helps. Please don't feel like I'm trying to infer that your way is wrong, I'm not, bro.

Nah, it's cool. :cheers

It was more the comment about 2 weeks being too long to recover from sugar. For most it does seem that "cheating" that tiny amount is not a problem. To those people I let out a very jealous BASTARDS! For us unlucky few though, it does take a little more.

I notice that your research leans to the gym rats, trainers, and athletes. Those types of people tend to have a more normal (or cooperative as I like to say) metabolism. It is that kind of thinking that makes a video cast like mine so important. So that us with slower metabolisms know that there are others out there like them. In other words, right for most is not right for all.

So I know that your ideas do in fact work for most people. It's just my research is more focused on people with unnaturally slow metabolisms (like myself). Some causes for that are thyroid related, but there are other causes as well.
