Wow! I think we have contacts for almost every band on that tour. You got a decent digital camera?

yes, but there's several reasons why that won't fly at the moment. A: security at the venue eats ass and there will be no "safe" place to shoot from. B: my pc also eats ass and I can't store photos at this time. :( But I'd love to come on and tell everyone how cool it was after the fact..... :rotfl

Well, that is why you get one of our contacts to get you a photo pass. Then when security tries to be dicks, you sick the band's tour manager on them. :evil
As far as the computer storing photos, is your hard drive full or damaged somehow?

Well, it's not that....the venue that the good shows are going to (The White Rabbit) has no barrier between the fans and the stage. If I were allowed, even with the permission of everyone, to shoot....I'd only get pics from the side of the stage, as that would be the only vantage point. None of the pics I take from behind the crowd will come out right, and up front there's too much going on. The last show I took my camera to was Summer Slaughter, and the bitch got knocked out of my hands during one shot and hit the floor. After thoroughly crapping myself, I lucked out and found out that it was ok.
The computer just got a new hard drive put in it, but it's not got any decent capacity in it, so I can't store photos, rip discs to media player, etc.

Yeah, we have a few venues like that too. I just zoom as much as I can when the shows get too nuts and then fight to the front with the more mellow crowds. This is why I love shooting at Studio 7. They have a balcony. I can go up there and shoot a couple off from the stairs, then people will almost always let me in for a few seconds to shoot from each angle along the way.
On the storage thing, I have been looking into an external storage unit myself. I do so much damn media that a normal HD just isn't enough.
Here is my wet dream I am currently drooling over.

I've almost dropped mine a few times too, I've made some fingertip saves.
I usually work my way up in front of the mosh pit to take the pic's,
but then I could probably destroy anyone at any of these shows...:threat

Yeah, when I do shows with the real wild crowds I just hold on tight and then wrap the strap around my wrist. It does still get knocked around a little, but I have never dropped it...yet. :uhoh

This will mark my first time seeing M.C., 3rd time seeing Vader, 8th (or 9th?) time seeing Cattle Decapitation, and first time seeing the other 3 bands....not that I'm very stoked about Abigail Williams....they kind of suck.
