This is probably my favorite Slayer album. Slayer made 3 albums that I listen to alot (the others being Reign in Blood and South of Heaven) My favorite song is definitly Skeletons of Society. (The lyrics rule!) Overall this album is fucking good, not to mention intense. Slayer puts out some good riffs and I think this is truely their best album. You guys rate it now.

considering that Divine Intervention is their best album in my opinion followed closely by Seasons In The AByss. If Divine Intervention is a 10, then Seasons would have to be a 9 or perhaps a 9.5.

Divine Intervention is a good album, and as great as Reign in Blood is, I never have quite considered it to be my favorite. With that, I'm wondering if I'm the only one who thinks that Show No Mercy is the best album Slayer has come up with?

D.I. is my absolute Slayer favorite, hands down. But to rate SITA: the album as a whole for me is a 9.5, meaning as perfect as you can get without having a member of Cannibal Corpse on it. :metal:)

Yeah, I like "Divine Intervention" too, it has some real good stuff on it...like all of Slayers CD's

Another underrated Slayer CD that I thought sucked when it first came out is "Diabolus In Musica".

Now it's just another one of my favorites from them....pick it up if you don't have it yet.

Another underrated Slayer CD that I thought sucked when it first came out is "Diabolus In Musica".

Now that's one I've never cared for, with the exception of "Bitter Peace" which is among my favorite Slayer tracks. It didn't seem to have the oomph that the previous albums had. Maybe that's just me.

Hahaha...I gotta agree with Mythos on this one....Slayer is way better than Megadeth, if only for sheer aggression and memorable tunes. Megadeth had some great moments....but to me there's more fail in their overall catalog than Slayer could fit in theirs. Seems almost their entire 90's releases sucked, whilst I enjoy Slayer's 90's stuff. On the topic of Slayer though, am I the only one who thinks everyone rides Reign In Blood's nuts just a little too hard? Don't get me wrong: GREAT disc, but....there's way too much overhyping that release in my opinion. I thought Divine Intervention was ten times better than RIB.

i agree, joey. RIB isnt even my second favorite slayer album. Divine Intervention, Seasons In The Abyss, Diabolous in Musica, Reign In Blood... that's the order it goes for me.
