Beowulf 3-D

I saw Beowulf 3-D today. It wasn't too bad. Better than i thought it'd be. The story was pretty good and visually the dragon was my favorite.

How is the cgi? From the previews it looked like it was lacking a little.

Actually it was pretty damn good for the most part. My biggest complaint about their CG were the human faces, specifically the queen. When she was older at the end they changed very little aside from some slight wrinkles at the edge of her eyes. If it wasn't for her grey hair I wouldn't have known she had aged. The other characters were alright though they reminded me (visually) of human characters in Shrek. They did a good job of making the characters resemble the voice actor who played them but the John Malkovich needed much more work to make it look more realistic.

...and there was too much CG man ass!

Still I feel it was worth my $9.:thumbs
