I saw Duff McKagan's side project, Loaded, at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard on Dec. 22, after hearing Jeetz interview him on KISW.

There were only about 50 people in that small place, the band fucking rocked! They were having so much fun on that little stage! I talked to Duff briefly afterwards and gave him a hug. He is a really cool, sweet guy. Tall and skinny, so was his wife.

What an amazing and fun experience!

Holy fuck! I didn't know about this show? :cry I didn't know he was doing that with VR doing so well. Damn.

I was surprised as well that he would do this side project. He plays guitar (vs. bass in G&R/VR) in Loaded. I even bought a ticket online thinking it would sell out, but it didn't. Duff is from the Seattle area. I'm sure he and the family were back home for Christmas.

I wouldn't be suprised if they did it again next Christmas, if Velvet Relolver isn't in the middle of a tour.

This would be really cool to see. I want to see Slash's Snakepit do a club date sometime. I heard Slash is awesome up close and in person, doing some crazy blues licks.

I haven't listened to radio in years. It drives me nuts to be honest. Between perfect examples of bad marketing (local advertising), to DJ's with the intelligence of rotting wood (RIcker), I find it to be an extremely negative experience.
