So I got the presale password for the Seattle show late Thursday, but didn't see it until early Friday. Got tix but all the floor tix were gone already!

I'm so excited! Second Manson show within a year! Flew all the way to Anaheim to see the Slayer & Marilyn Manson show in August. It was awesome!

Manson rulez....:metal

Sweet! I hope you have a good time. I would like to see him, but I haven't been paying attention to any of his recent stuff, so I don't know if I'd enjoy the show or if it would be a bunch of new songs I don't know.

Last time I saw Manson was at the Rckandy in Seattle. A club that was demolished several years ago. I really would like to see him again sometime. He always puts on a great show.

I was at that show with you. I saw them on the Antichrist tour as well. It was a much different crowd.

I'd like to go.

You sure? I remember going with a friend of mine named Jeremy. I couldn't forget because of how offended he was with Mr. Manson tucking his penis into his legs and dancing around. I know it wasn't you that was offended, so it had to be him. :rotfl

He always puts on a great show.

Yeah, is it just me, or does MM put 99% of his energy into shows and 1% of it into albums?

Oh come on now. I think it is at least 25% that he puts into the actual music. :D

Seriously, I do think his cd's have gotten weaker and weaker everytime since the first one.

Actually in his interviews he can sometimes be one of the most intelligent people you have ever seen. Sure his stage show is about as over the top as it gets, but so was Kiss and it did pretty well for them.

I saw him get interviewed on The Henry Rollins Show once but he just seemed average.

Trust me on this...he has a very high IQ. ;)

Even so,his IQ doesn't seem to help his ability to make decent music.:D
I'll admit Antichrist superstar was halfway decent, but most of his stuff is crap.
I place him in the Korn category.

The only connection between the two is that they are more mainstream heavy rock. Korn is based on mostly rap where Manson has a foundation of industrial. You may not like either, but they are far from the same style.

As I said before, I am not a huge fan of his current stuff. He lost me shortly after Anti-Christ. I do still find his interviews interesting though as he is very intelligent.

The only album of his that i liked was Portrait of an American Family. I was too young to see him during those years and i lost interest by the time Antichrist Superstar came out... if they were to get daisy berkowitz and put out another great album like Portrait, i'd be seriously interested in seeing that.

Only 2 albums from MM are worth listening to by anyone, in my opinion: Antichrist Superstar and Holy-wood.

Personally, I think Holy-wood is the best, and will always love that album.....but to be honest, it's the ONLY MM album that I really LOVE.

I honestly never gave that one a chance because MM has disappointed me so much after Anti-Christ. I might have to give that one a listen. :cool

Well, to tell the truth...the dark parts on this album are TRULY dark....the heavier parts are ok for being heavy, and there are no stupidly-sappy light parts like in other releases.

I like the guy as a person from what I've read as well. I like him as an artist too, because he is very creative and I think it's funny how little he can do to shock some people. He's really not all "that" scary in the overall scheme of things, but to me that proves his intelligence even more. He can do one or two little things and have millions of people up in arms. Awesome.

And I highly recommend watching his chat with Michael Moore in Bowling for Columbine. One of the most favorite interviews with a rock artist I've ever seen, and it's not even really all that much of an interview.

I seem to recall you saying that you'd seen MM once before that. We sat upstairs at that venue (I can't think of the name) and I bought the "I am the god of fuck" shirt while there. At this point they only had Portrait of an American Family out but were performing Sweet Dreams live.

Jeremy may have been with us. I do remember MM tucking his cock and singing My monkey. Funny stuff!

OH MY GOD!!!! What a killer show! I'm a live show fan, and this indoor show was every bit as good as the outdoor one I saw in Irvine, CA in August.

Good to see Twiggy back with Marilyn. The only thing was I was disappointed that he didn't play Beautiful People at the end. Love that song.
