My wife and I started watching the DVD's of Deadwood a couple weeks ago and we both think that it is one of the most brilliant shows ever created. I'm waiting for season 3 to become available at the library, but season 1 and 2 were amazing. I love westerns (I'm a sucker for spaghetti westerns), so this show is right up my alley...

My wife found this parody of the show on youtube:

This one is the funniest, though:

Yeah, I really got into it. So why did they cancel it? Was the storyline just finished or did HBO not get enough response from it or something? :shrug I need to borrow Amon's DVD's of this. I watch the first season and loved it, but have yet to get around to watching the 2nd and third season yet.

Awesome show though. I might even buy the dvd's someday since I can see myself watching them over and over again.

apparently the writers just didnt want to keep writing it... especially the main writer. if you watch the dvd extras for season 2 and see how much time went into writing just ONE paragraph, you'd understand why the writers decided to stop.

Yeah fuck the writers. There was a great response to it. Hell they were spending over $1 million per episode.

It's a shame they couldn't work it out. I heard they were gonna do a four episode mini series to finish it but I think they changed their mind. :(

At least I still have Big Love.

Very strange since the show seems to be getting even more popular years after the final episode has been aired. It's going to end up with some kind of legendary cult status. The movies would be a major seller on the DVD market.

Yeah, getting all those "cocksuckers" and "motherfuckers' in there would take considerable space, one would think....as many times as they are repeated, lol.
