Has anyone else here encountered a situation like this in regards to a band?

A month or so ago I went to the Samurai Duck, a kick-ass metal bar here in Eugene, and heard a badass album. When I asked the bartender who the band was, I thought he said "Colvatis."

The next day I went www.metal-archives.com, typed Colvatis, Colvatus, Kolvatus and Kolvatis, and found nothing.

Then, I finally went back to Samurai Duck last night and found out the band's name started with a q. From there, I found out that the name is actually spelled "Quo Vadis," and that two bands share the name. One is from Canada, listed as a technical melodic death metal band and has released four albums in the past 11 years. The other is from Poland, listed as a death/thrash/progressive metal band and has released seven albums in the past 16 years. FUCK!

With that, who likes the bands known as Quo Vadis?

I've heard the name a MILLION times, and never heard a single song by them that I know of.

Here's one by the Canadian Quo Vadis, which is the one that the bartender was listening to:

That's some pretty good stuff there, I'd be interested in checking out more.

I've been a fan of the Canadian one for 10 years or so. Their first 2 albums are incredible, the 3rd one a little less so but still very good, and features Steve DiGiorgio on session bass. Their earlier stuff was a little quirkier at times, with 3 of the 4 band members doing vocals, occasional strings, and spoken word poetry, but when they wanted to they could get downright savage. The second one is more streamlined and probably their best overall IMO, and has some really excellent guitar work.
