I hadn't seen this movie all the way through unedited, so I got it on netflix. I "get" the references to it in other films and such, but it was great to see the actual movie all the way through. I really liked it. Anthony Hopkins is so amazing in this film, as well as Jodie Foster. Good stuff.

Yeah, I still need to see the sequels. Was there one or two...I can't remember.

I don't know, I think at least two, but one's a prequel? Maybe, something like that...
alright the movies came out in this order "silence...", "hannibal", "red dragon", "hannibal rising"...
if you wanted to watch the story in chronological order itd go "hannibal rising", "red dragon", "silence...", "hannibal"
havent seen "hannibal rising" but i like the other three...

There's also "Manhunter", which was the original "Red Dragon" with Brian Cox as Hannibal Lecter and starring a young William Petersen.
The original "Silence" is simply awesome. I liked "Hannibal" and "Red Dragon" was pretty good, but haven't seen "Hannibal Rising". "Hannibal" is worth watching just for the dinner scene toward the end. I'm not typically squeamish, but that scene and the scene at the very end were quite repulsive.

Hannibal is the first sequel and was pretty lame imo. Red Dragon was released next (but was a prequel) and is pretty damn good if you ask me.

So a sequel and two prequels. Got it. Thanks Muc! I do want to watch them all just so I know what people are talking about with them. So far I have only seen Silence.

Heheheheheh.....Silence of the Lambs was James and my first date....it was playin' at the local drive in.
Didn't care much for Hannibal....considered it really lame and the only thing to watch in that movie is the dinner scene at the end.
Hannibal Rising, however, freakin' ruled! :evil
