Do you have proof of these things? Bush did hardcore drugs before too ya know? So did Clinton. Former drug use doesn't matter. Only current. So if he isn't currently use, it means nothing. As far as his religion goes, he is Christian...just like every American president we have ever had.

Not only that, but he's the most electable Democrat and he is more qualified. He has more legislative experience than Hillary, and that is a big part of what SHE is running on. He's a Harvard graduated constitutional lawyer. He's a Christian, but I won't hold that against him. If he were a muslim, that wouldn't bother me. He's young and has less baggage than McCain or Hillary and has spent less time in NATIONAL politics than either Clinton or McCain, which makes me believe that he is the less corrupt out of all of the current players. He has had EXTREMELY enthusiastic arena packed crowds all over the country and has won the swing and red states by big margins. Blue states are going to stay blue, but the we (by "we", I mean liberals and Democrats like me) need a candidate that can give those states a good run. Hillary doesn't have that draw from the swing and red states.

I could give a fuck whether he has used cocaine or any other drugs in the past. I've done just about every drug imaginable and I aspire to some day running for a public office of some kind, whether it is a city council office or something else. I think it is stupid that drug use and religion would EVER come into play when it comes to an elected official that is supposed to represent ALL Americans, especially when just about EVERYBODY born after 1950 has tried drugs at least once in their life.

I have never allowed racial jokes or slurs here. When it is that blunt and clear I bluntly and clearly put a stop to it. Well, I am sorry you feel that way. This is a music site first and everything else comes second. When it comes to music, I loved the fact that we never saw eye to eye. That was what made you a good writer for this place. You gave a view point that no one else did and you did it in an entertaining way. Because of you and Vish, some have thought this site was "too death metal". One of my recent floods of self written content was in response to that email. The person was shocked to find I didn't listen to much death metal. So your presence was felt here in spades!

As far as the racial thing goes, nothing has ever changed about that. I have used the same judgment I always have. You are right when you point out that there is some grey area. On any hot button issue you will always find that. Unless the person just goes all "zero tolerance" on the situation, but that creates a whole new set of problems I don't want. I would never do that.

I'm not clear on what sent you to this decision to be honest. Was it the auto censor? I have not added to or changed the words in that for years. In fact, I am pretty sure I just did a cut and paste on the word list from the old board to this one. So the list is several years old. Racial slurs do not change much over time.

Why do I not have the so called anti-white words in the list? Not sure. I guess I have never seen them used in a negative way here. If I need to add them I will, but if they are used it is by white people and not done in a way that would make a white person feel unwelcome. I call myself white trash, but I don't think that is anti-white. Not all white people are white trash. I however have a rusted car in my backyard and I had a broken washer and dryer in my driveway for years. it's gone now, but ask Amon. It's all true.

As far as people not liking the way I run things here, sorry. I do the best I can to make the most amount of people enjoy themselves. Do I make mistakes? Floods of them! I am very far from perfect. I have met many gay couples that have been together longer than many straight couples. The divorce rate in this country is rising more everyday. No one takes it seriously anymore it seems. I am a very big supporter of free speech. However, there is one thing you must keep in mind. Time and place. You can yell fire here all you want, but do not try it in a theater. Well, you are partially correct. This site is not about politics or religion. Never has been. It is about music. This is what makes this so lame. Joey is leaving a music site because of something that has nothing to do with music.

However, this is not a metal site per say. We cover a ton of metal, but we also cover punk, hardcore, gothic, industrial, classic rock, modern rock, and tons more. This is a rock site, but the true definition of rock covers metal and everything else. My inspiration for this site was to have a place people could go to that did not have any rapcore. Then emo started to become a trend and I made a stand against that crap as well. Now rapcore is about as dead as it gets, but emo is still (sadly) going strong. The scary thing is that I still get press agents pushing rapcore to me like it is the hot new thing.

If I had my way we would be way more balanced on coverage of all forms of rock. I just do not have the writers to cover it. This has always been my vision. As I stated before, some have even thought this was a DM site because of Vish and Joey. Their coverage was unrelenting at times. Never wanted that to change and never wanted them to slow down. I just wanted other styles to pick up the pace to meet their passion.

Downplay DM? Never. Just because I do not like most of what has come out in the past ten years of DM, does not mean that I don't work my ass off trying to get fair coverage of it here. This will always be the case.

As far as the assassination thing goes, I can see what you mean. However, I think all three of them have a very high chance for that. Some see McCain as four more years of Bush type thinking. Especially with Karl Rove coming back into the picture. Clinton is one of the most hated candidates I have seen in the Democratic party in a long time. Then of course we have the black guy. All of them will be bigger targets than any candidate I can ever remember. Just because they will be a target for assassination doesn't mean they do not have the potential to do a ton of good before that (may or may not) happens. It's a 'what if' and that line of thinking can lead us all to wear tin foil hats.

give me a fucking break. nobody was pissed off and wanting to shoot kennedy because of his infidelities. that's probably the lamest arguement that i have ever heard of for kennedy's assasination. if anything, kennedy was killed because he closed a LOT of loopholes in the tax laws that made it so that the rich had to pay more taxes (which is just) and it pissed off prescott bush and the other texas mafiosi, along with a lot of other rich folk.
