If it wasn't for Pink Floyd, The Doors would have my vote as the worst band ever. But since Pink Floyd are the champions of the worst band ever, The Doors get to be #2.

I'm not too interested the DVD, but thanks to the press it has generated, I finally got around to watching the movie that Oliver Stone made about the band in the early 90's. Unfortunately that movie is pretty fucking boring since way too much time is devoted to bullshit such as acid and peyote trips, and as a result I couldn't get past the twenty-minute mark.

However, even though I've always been divided in regards to Jim Morrison's lyrical and poetic abilities, the guy had a good voice, and Ray Manzarek is a flat-out incredible musician. With that said, The Doors came up with some absolute magic despite various bullshit, specifically "Light My Fire."

Does anyone else here like The Doors?

I love The Doors. I have always been a fan of Jim Morrision's voice. I used to be a much bigger fan of theirs though. My favorite song by them is hands down "Roadhouse Blues". Great song.
