This is one of my favorite Death/Gore metal bands noone here has ever mentioned.Anyone here at lesat ever heard of their vocalist Killjoy? Great Death/Gore band easily up there with Autopsy and the like.I really don't hear much about the Gore/Horror type sound here so thought I'd mention it.Check them out if you're interested.

I have "Season of the Dead" but didn't think it was that great. I'll give it another spin and see. At the Milwaukee Metalfest in 2001 I didn't get a chance to meet Killjoy, but I shared rides to and from the airport and hotel with all the other members of his band The Ravenous who were playing. Danny Lilker and Chris Reifert were really cool.

Season of the Dead is a really good album for early Death Metal.
They seemed to get a more gorier sickening sound on later albums.

Phil of Pantera,Killjoy of Necrophagia,Fenriz of Darkthrone and someone else had a band called Eibon.I never heard it.

i'll listen to anything that has something to with phil anselmo. i remember being very stoked when i found out about necrophagia about 6 or 7 years ago and dig em. not as much as viking crown, though, damn, phil put out some damn grim black metal with viking crown.
