It sounds really symphonic too me. Its not really my cup of tea. Certainly not bad, but I'm just not a huge power metal fan. The only power metal band I really listen to on my own is Iced Earth.

Nightwish indeed has a lot of symphonic elements, and even though they have some power metal elements, they're nothing like Iced Earth, a band that leans a lot further toward traditional metal territory occupied by Iron Maiden.

With that said, Nightwish is definitely not for a lot of metal fans.

Yeah, I liked Iced Earth because they aren't as corny and they are so damn thrashy most of the time. I don't think Nightwish is for me. Thanks for making this thread though!
