not having money to buy even food sucks.
not being able to get the guitar of my dreams sucks. so does having to sell the guitars i already have.
not being able to trust the person you love and live with sucks.
not knowing when i'll be able to live normally again also sucks.

just the vent of the week.

The best lesson I learned in my 20's was to cut out anyone in my life out that caused me any drama. I was notorious for dumping women on the first argument. I do not speak to either of my parents either. I have cut off a ton of people to make this happen, but I have more balance in my life than I ever had before.

I used to drink myself into stupidity, but now a six pack has been known to sit in my fridge for months sometimes. No reason to drink.

It also helps that I put every waking hour into this website. You have a dream girly and you need to focus on that with everything you have in you. If you are putting everything you have into your dream you will find you don't have the time or energy for the drama that makes you feel the need to drink.

If you ever want to talk or chat you know my cell. Call or text me anytime. :)

Damn, are you my long lost brother or something? The way your life has played out in these aspects is eerily similar to how mine has recently.

And fuzzay, based on what I've seen from your posts, I have a feeling that what Mark said about how good things will happen to you if you focus on your dream(s) will come true.

everything was going pretty smoothly. my boyfriend and i had enough money to last us even a couple years. my guitarist and i were even going out to philly to play at bars to try to make some extra cash. things were good. i live in a one bedroom apartment in a shitty neighborhood, but i couldn't care less about that.

then, out of nowhere, my boyfriend tells me we have $48. total. i had $22 in my pocket. then i find out he's been spending our money on god knows what and hasn't paid our bills like he told me he was for THREE MONTHS. meaning, we are seriously in debt (or me, technically seeing as how everything's in my name). i'm going to have to sell all my shit. guitars, mic, everything. how can one follow a dream with no instruments?

i don't even know where to start. i told him if he doesn't fix this, and if he ever lies to me about anything again, i'm better off living with my friends and at least getting enough money to buy their groceries for them. he's trying to fix it now and realized he fucked up. i sincerely hope it's not too late because i really love this guy. but he really screwed me...well, both of us.

it's not like he does drugs. the guy doesn't even drink. i have no idea where the money could have gone. regardless, i have to check our bank statement every week and pretty much ration him money now. we'll see if he stops spending but who knows.

as for now, i got most of the disgustingly overdue bills payed off, but now i owe someone money. i still have to pay my light bill but it's going to cost A LOT.

i mean, shit, i just wish i could go grocery shopping. it's been 3 months now without food.

bah...

i hope things change.

I have an idea for ya. How about for extra cash, you start up a metal comic strip? I know of a place you can host it as well as the contact to get you premium hosting for such a thing. I can promise you that if you do it right it can make you a few hundred extra a month at least.

Things I would suggest to make sure you make money off of it:

Make sure your website name is short and ends in dot com!

Make sure your website name is on every single jpg of the comic.

Update daily.

Use a CMS like Word Press.

Let me know if you would like to do something like this. :cheers

problem. i'd totally do it. i still do not have internet. that's why i'm on here only when i go to my parents' house. i'm going to make sure i get internet as soon as i move though...which is only 3 months away. i will deffinitely take you up on that offer then.

Cool. Let me know when you want that started. I would need to either have you do the software updates for your site or charge you to do them. About $25 a month would cover hosting and updates. That would be $5 for hosting and $20 for the updates. Since you are starting out with no money I can do the set up for free. You would however have to pay for your domain since that is not done through me.

Please DO NOT register anywhere except www.TheMothership.net as that saves me an insane amount of work. I normally charge people a few thousand extra if they register through anyone else because of the pain in the ass. :rotfl

I don't think I've ever found anyone cheaper than the mothership anyway.

Personally I would cut ties with that person now. I had a room mate do that to me once. He spent all the rent $ at a strip club. Unfornately I found out about it when the land lord put a 3 day eviction notice on our door. I wouldn't/couldn't trust the guy but that's my opinion.

PS. Always keep an eye on your finances, even if you are letting someone else be in charge of them. ;)

There are many cheaper and the same price, but the other ones are major rip off scams. They do a bunch of bait and switch crap and everything. Registering a domain can get you really screwed if you go to the wrong place.

don't worry. i check our balance every week now. and if it's a penny off all hell will break loose.

by the way, i got a new guitar. why? because i feel like spending my money for once. instead of someone else doing it. it's not the laiho v that i was going to get because i no longer have that much money but it's deffinitely a sweet guitar for the meantime.
