I know that I am like 15 years too late on this album, but, fucking christ, this is what metal is supposed to be about, to me. These guy were well ahead of their time. This album is blowing my mind. I havent been this mindblown by an album since Aborted's "Slaughter & Apparatus". Seriously, whoa.

I'm in the same boat you are since I didn't get around to listening to Heartwork until last December, and yes, it fucking rules!

Congrats to both of you on being awakened to real music.

Congrats to both of you on being awakened to real music.

Please, I've been listening to real music since I discovered Megadeth and Pantera back in '91, thank you very much.

this is my second least favorite release of theirs. first being the appropriately titled swansong. swansong is just utter crap. and heartwork is mediocre at best. necrotism is what y'all should be listening to.

myself enjoys symphonies of sickness the most followed closely by reek of putrifaction.

I agree that Swansong sucks dick, but Heartwork absolutely destroys.

I concur with this statement. Everything prior to Heartwork was just leading up to it, and everything after it doesn't matter.

i prefer the more melodic brutality, so from what i hear heartwork would be my favorite, but im going to check out the other stuff too.

This shows the exact thing I like about this site. So many different opinions but yet we all get along. :cheers

They're bypassing Portland. Fucking assholes...

Actually they only have a handful of US dates, period.

I'm amazed they're coming to Seattle, given how few shows they have. You should just make the jaunt up for it.

I can't justify spending that much to go to a cramped, stifling hot room with lousy sound just to see a band I would rather have seen 15 years ago. If the price was lower I'd consider it.

Jesus. :uhoh

Do you go out at all anymore? I haven't seen you in forever! :(

I know I know, it's been forever. There just haven't been enough really good shows that are worth the expense lately. I'm planning to see Helloween in October, but aside from my own shows (September 6th in SeaTac, and our CD release show with Skelator and Funerot at King Kobra on 10/25 *end cheap plug) I don't think there's anything else coming up I have the urge to see. Going to shows just doesn't have the same appeal it once did to me.

So you won't be at Obituary either, I take it?

i am trying to save some money to get a ticket. ollie(our guitarist) & kelly(our bassist) already have tickets. i hate the price, but at least it's a solid lineup for the $$. did you check out rotten sound yet red?

Evil Red

Yeah and you know what's really wierd? When I went to add 'em on myspace, turns out I was already friends with them!

That was odd to me because I rarely add bands I don't know, so I must have liked 'em enough one drunken night to accept them and forgot to go back and give them a more careful listen. haha

It's gonna be one fuck of a show!!! :evil
