So far just the one last year at the HOB in Myrtle Beach and I woulda gone to my second this October 13th but it was cancelled... That wouldn't happen to have anything to do with that interview Barnes did about 13 talking about how 13 was always showing up and so he made the album to dispell the stigma then it was like 13 was still always popping up...

Once in the summer of '04 with Bury Your Dead and Red Chord, and once this past September I believe on the 16th with Krisiun and Decpitated. The one in '04 I actually worked (security), all I really recall from that one is kicking out half of Bury Your Dead's crew for doing kung fu and kicking people and whatnot. Oh, that and asking Terry if his dad really was a chicken farmer. SFU definitely were the best band on that bill by far.

The recent date I actually went as a spectator.....all due respect to SFU, Decapitated were my favorites on this one. Though I must say Barnes was rockin' the rowdy beard a la Jihad and whatnot. SFU had a cool set this year, but I noticed that there were 2 dudes at either side of the stage I suppose as personal security. That made me laugh, as I thought they were joking about that shit in those interviews I've seen on their dvd's. But I guess with the Dimebag thing happening the way it did, it kinda got everyone thinking about security more.

Once... December 2000 or 2001. it was a really small crowd. they were touring with skinless and it was a killer show by both bands. i was surprised at how small the crowd was, cuz i had thought that SFU would have had more fans... i would imagine that they have a lot more fans now than they did back then though. my friend and i were extremely excited about the show, because we were both huge fans of the first three albums. chris seemed to appreciate the two of us, cuz he kept looking at us and smiling because we knew the words to all of the songs, and because it was a small crowd, we were easy to see, being right up at the stage. after the show, we got to meet chris and talk to him for a few minutes.

Surprisingly, SFU do pretty well here every time they come through, so far as turn out goes. They did better than Deicide anyways.....the only 2 bands I've seen pull in more people (for DM) was Cannibal and Morbid Angel.

Yeah, I think I've seen you two. Maybe even spoken to ya, hell I dunno, I talk to a shitload of people at these things. The last three shows I've gone to there were Sepultura, GWAR, and the Melvins. At that SFU show we left about 3/4 of the way through the set, but I was hanging out right smack in the middle up front......

My first time was when S.F.U. opened for MANOWAR at the Great American Music Hall in S.F.

It was their "Maximum Violence" Tour....:monkeybang ...I became a fan for life.

MANOWAR was the loudest band I've ever seen in a club size venue.

The building was shaking, glad they didn't destroy the Mitchell Brothers Theater next door...:perv
