Anyone here who hasn't heard Skeletonwitch needs to check them out! They're a new band that mixes pretty much every metal genre you can think of, plus brutal vocals that put Chris Barnes to shame. Anyone else like them?

I absolutely love them. Very orginal sounding, like you said about Toxic Holocaust its "blackened thrash". CFH, check these guys out. I have a feeling you will think they are awesome.

THIS BAND IS AWSOME. if you like kalmah but a really thrashy kalmah, this band is for you!

CFH, check these guys out. I have a feeling you will think they are awesome.

I like them quite a bit thus far. During most of the song I heard, they were highly reminiscent of At the Gates, and during the solo section they sounded a lot like old Testament.

I don't know about the riffing, but the solo I mentioned screamed of classic/traditional metal and thrash.

I saw these guys a while back and wasn't impressed, and listening to that song I remember why. Pretty pedestrian musically and the vocals are lifeless.

Ultimately the vocals are the main killer for me. One of my favorite aspects of thrash is how great singers like Schmier, Chuck Billy, Blitz, and Mille are able to deliver passionate vocals each with a distinctive voice that suits the music. I just don't hear that from these guys.

you wouldn't like kalmah then. the vocals are almost identical.

I think I heard one of their songs a few years back. It was very Bodom-ish if I remember right. I got nothing against that kinda stuff really, just doesn't do anything for me.

Decent band, these guys along with Municipal Waste, Warbringer, Toxic Holocaust, Evile, Gamma Bomb, etc.....are all making thrash that I can truly enjoy. Not exactly bands reinventing the wheel, but good bands nonetheless.
