Kataklysm Added To 70,000 Tons Of Metal Cruise!

Montreal based extreme metallers KATAKLYSM have been added to the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise, which will set sail from Miami, Florida to Cayman Islands on January 23, 2012 and return four days later. A total of 40 acts will perform on the cruise.

Commented the band: “Due to KATAKLYSM last minute addition to the 70,000 Tons of Metal, drummer Max Duhamel will not be performing since he had prior family engagements organized.  NEURAXIS drummer Olli Beaudoin will be replacing Max for this cruise show. The band is excited to be able to do it and looks forward to kicking ass with Olli from Miami to the Cayman islands! See you on board!"

Ticket prices start at $666 plus $289 taxes and fees per person and include all onboard entertainment, non-alcoholic and non-carbonated beverages, all meals at the dining rooms, most on-board restaurants and even 24-hour room service.

KATAKLYSM’s new album Heaven’s Venom was released on August 24th 2010 in North America and sold around 2,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 7 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart and #196 on the Billboard Top Current Albums chart, making it the bands highest charting album and their biggest first week sales to date. Heatseekers lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Heaven’s Venom was recorded by KATAKLYSM guitarist J-F  Dagenais (MALEVOLENT CREATION, MISERY INDEX) and was mixed by Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, MNEMIC, DARK TRANQUILLITY).
