Reunited California metallers DÉTENTE — featuring original members Dennis Butler (drums), Caleb Quinn (guitar) and Steve Hochheiser (bass) alongside new vocalist Tiina Teal — have issued the following video to promote their upcoming release, 'Decline'.
There will be a national radio promotional campaign in the USA for the upcoming DÉTENTE release, 'Decline'. DÉTENTE will release its new album, "Decline", on June 8 in the U.S. via the band's own Cognitive label with MVD Audio distribution. MusicBuyMail.eu will handle distribution for the CD in Europe, where "Decline" arrived on May 21.
A song from "Decline" entitled "In God We Trust" is currently being streamed at DÉTENTE's official MySpace page.
"Decline" was recorded with engineer Bill Metoyer, who has previously worked with SLAYER, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, D.R.I. and SACRED REICH, among others.
Teal joined DÉTENTE as the replacement for Ann Boleyn (HELLION).
Having originally started out behind the kit as a drummer, Tiina has been singing and screaming for the last 10 years. With influences ranging from Jarboe to Nina Simone as well as STRAPPING YOUNG LAD's Devin Townsend, she has collaborated with various musicians and bands in Los Angeles and was named "Best Anti-War Band" with her metal group BURN THE EMPIRE.

Bassist Steve Hochheiser is recovering from surgery to remove his Gallbladder,
as many of you know the band had to cut their recent EU Tour short. Thanks to
all for the immense support: the band looks forward to getting back to Germany,
most likely at a Festival in fall or next spring.

First we want to thank Ann Boleyn for her help with the DÉTENTE reunion shows;
it was great working with her and we wish her the best in everything she does.
We are pleased to announce the addition of Tiina Teal as the new vocalist for
DÉTENTE.
Originally starting out behind the kit as a drummer, Tiina has been singing &
screaming for the last 10 years. Having influences ranging from Jarboe to Nina
Simone as well as Strapping Young Lad’s Devin Townsend, she’s collaborated with
various musicians and bands in Los Angeles and won ‘Best Anti-War Band’ with her
metal group, Burn The Empire.
We have already put down 4 of the 9 new tracks with her and can tell you that
both old and new supporters of the band will be blown away by her and the new
tracks. Check back at www.detenterna.com and www.myspace.com/detenterna in the
next few weeks for a sneak preview.
DECLINE is coming along very well, taking longer than expected but it will be
worth it; we should have an official street date announcement mid December.
