DÉTENTE is confirmed to play with ONSLAUGHT in Oslo, Norway May 21 in what is being promoted as BACK to SCHOOL NIGHT. ONSLAUGHT will play their original 1986 set while DÉTENTE will play material from both Recognize No Authority and the upcoming DECLINE.

First we want to thank Ann Boleyn for her help with the DÉTENTE reunion shows;
it was great working with her and we wish her the best in everything she does.

We are pleased to announce the addition of Tiina Teal as the new vocalist for
DÉTENTE.


Originally starting out behind the kit as a drummer, Tiina has been singing &
screaming for the last 10 years. Having influences ranging from Jarboe to Nina
Simone as well as Strapping Young Lad’s Devin Townsend, she’s collaborated with
various musicians and bands in Los Angeles and won ‘Best Anti-War Band’ with her
metal group, Burn The Empire.

We have already put down 4 of the 9 new tracks with her and can tell you that

both old and new supporters of the band will be blown away by her and the new
tracks. Check back at www.detenterna.com and www.myspace.com/detenterna in the
next few weeks for a sneak preview.

DECLINE is coming along very well, taking longer than expected but it will be
worth it; we should have an official street date announcement mid December.

DÉTENTE is seeking a solid professional guitarist to fill out the line-up for a
new recording and new tour; you will share lead and rhythm duties with Caleb.
Members of existing acts are welcome as long as you can commit the energy and
time necessary to fulfill your DÉTENTE responsibilities; remember we are a DIY
band so we each take care of ourselves. If you are interested email us at

Detente offers update:

"Thanks to Pete and Tonus for having us up to Annie’s Social Club; also thanks to the Old School crew who came out to see us.


Regarding new material I have written 6 new songs and hope to have enough for a
full length over the next couple of months, I have pondered the thought of an EP
also but no final decision. For those of you wondering what it might sound like,
well it sounds like DÉTENTE, I did write Holy War, It’s Your Fate, and Catalepsy
alone as well as sharing Widow’s Walk and Losers credits; and of course the
vicious drumming of Dennis gave the punk edge to our music.

The new material is
probably closer to the demo days in approach though; Dennis and I tend to lean
in the hardcore direction so we will keep it raw. Everyone can expect it in
stores around the September/ October time frame."
