Lizzy Borden Announces "Death Takes A Holiday Tour"

After blazing through the U.S. and Canada on the "Summer of Blood Tour", LIZZY BORDEN have announced the "Death Takes a Holiday Tour" 2011.

LIZZY BORDEN will kick off the European part of the tour in the Netherlands (Eindhoven) on November 23rd, then on to Germany for the Christmas Metal Festival with Hammerfall, Lordi and Saxon in Lichtenfels, Germany on Nov 25th. A much anticipated performance at this year's Hard Rock Hell festival in the UK will follow on December 2nd with Ace Frehley , Magnum and the Quireboys .

LIZZY BORDEN's "Death takes a holiday tour" also includes headlining shows throughout Europe (all tour dates below).

Infected is the follow-up to 2009’s No Sacrifice, No Victory which debuted at #38 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and achieved gold status in Sweden for sales in excess of 20,000 copies.  The album registered the following first-week chart positions in Europe: #2 in Sweden, #7 in Germany, #20 in Switzerland, #21 in the U.K. (Indie Albums chart), #25 in Austria, #46 in Norway, and #95 in France.

Hammerfall: The Guitar World Interview

In a recent interview with Josh Hart of GuitarWorld.com, HAMMERFALL founding member / guitarist Oscar Dronjak answered questions about musical maturity, the role of new lead guitarist Pontus Norgren on the new album Infected, and important upcoming anniversaries for the band.

Last week, HAMMERFALL clinched the highest first-week sales of their career in excess of 1,700 units with their new album, Infected, which debuted at #16 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, #33 on the Current Hard Music albums chart, and #51 on the Top Hard Music albums chart.  The album also debuted at #2 on the Swedish album chart in late May.

Infected was produced & mixed by James Michael (MÖTLEY CRÜE, SCORPIONS, MEAT LOAF).  The band has plans to tour North America extensively, so stay tuned!
