The clip features Andrew Neufeld from Comeback Kid and was shot by renowned director Scott Hansen (After The Burial, As Blood Runs Black). The band will be joining Everytime I Die, Terror and FormerThieves from Feb. 17th to March 8th. You can also catch them on their own headlining run in Jan. alongside CRUEL HAND / STRUCTURES / COUNTERPARTS / BETRAYAL January 24-February 11.
It is no coincidence that listeners of STRAY FROM THE PATH will often have a difficult time confining them to a specific genre. The have made it a point to remain unpredictable, intricate and intelligent. Listeners can expect their music to surpass the gratuitous and/or contrived music that is all too common today, and instead perform articulate songs that refuse to compromise their precision, honesty and genuine desire to impress.
In 2011, the group delivered their most cohesive, intricate and mature effort of their career and look to solidify themselves as one of the hardcore/metal genre's most dynamic artists. This in-your-face, blistering new offering, Rising Sun, is STRAY FROM THE PATH's third full-length album and was produced by Will Putney at the Machine Shop in NJ. Whether you love it or hate it, you are going to hear the soundtrack of four kids who grew up in a hardcore scene who are now furious with the state of the music scene and have something to actually say about it.
STRAY FROM THE PATH has always went into writing new music with intentions to keep it fresh, keep it powerful and keep it pissed. Rising Sun has it's own mood on the record, with a dark energy throughout.

"...non-blastbeat Napalm Death funneled through Entombed’s distortion pedal set-up. Yeah, it rules. Isolation‘s uncompromising, catchy, gritty, and, at times, anthemic." - Decibel
"Compositions are lengthy, chops are razor-sharp and production is punchy... Listeners should settle in and get comfortable…the beatdown will take a while." - SLUG Mag
"a constantly churning mass of anger, spewing out 8 relentless tracks of extremely heavy hardcore that never strays too far from being an all out vicious metal album." - Stereokiller
"...a testing journey through the hardest of sonic assaults but also in many ways one of the most rewarding." - Delusions of Adequacy
