Metal Mind Productions presents Destruction, the icon of German thrash metal scene!
The band started in 1982 as Knight of Demon and very soon was called, alongside Kreator and Sodom, one of the best thrash metal bands from Germany. All three of these bands are often credited with helping pioneer death metal. The original line-up featured vocalist and bassist Marcel 'Schmier' Schirmer, drummer Tommy Sandmann, and guitarist Mike Sifinger. They soon changed their name to "Destruction" and in 1984 released a demo entitled “Bestial Invasion of Hell”. Later on the group signed with Steamhammer Records and released an EP entitled “Sentence of Death”. Destruction released their first full-length album “Infernal Overkill” in 1985, followed by “Eternal Devastation” in 1986. The trio then was joined by the second guitarist, Harry Wilkens, and released the EP “Mad Butcher” in 1987, followed by the full length album “Release from Agony” in 1988, then a live recording “Live Without Sense” in 1989, and “Cracked Brain” in 1990. In 1989, Schmier was asked to leave the band due to creative differences, and the group underwent a period of commercial deterioration. During the explosion of grunge of early to mid 1990s, the band lost their record label support and had to self-produce and self-release their own albums. In 1999, Schmier rejoined Destruction, and things began to look up for the band as they signed a record deal with Nuclear Blast. Since then they released three more albums: “All Hell Breaks Loose” (2000), “The Antichrist” (2001), and “Metal Discharge” (2003). Then, the band signed with AFM Records and released “Inventor of Evil” in 2005. The band's most recent studio album, “D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N.”, was released in August 2008.
Metal Mind Productions releases 3 albums from Destruction’s discography: “All Hell Breaks Loose”, “The Antichrist” and “Metal Discharge”.
“All Hell Breaks Loose” - the band’s sixth full-length album from 2000. It was the first official album recorded with Schmier on vocals since 1988’s “Release from Agony”. It features guest appearance by Peter Tägtgren. The new edition includes 6 bonus tracks taken from “Bestial Invasion From Hell” demo.
“The Antichrist” - the band’s seventh studio album from 2001. An improved, more cohesive production and greater emphasis on pure, unchecked aggression is what “The Antichrist” is all about. A high degree of intensity accompanies most tracks on this disc, among the most virulent being the opener "Thrash Till Death", the very nasty "Nailed to the Cross", "Bullets From Hell", the classic "Godfather of Slander" and "Creations of the Underworld". These tracks alone should turn casual Destruction listeners into hardcore addicts. The album was produced, recorded, engineered & mixed by Peter Tagtgren & Lars Szoke. The new edition includes a bonus track.
“Metal Discharge” - the band’s eighth studio album from 2003. Despite the fact how good their last two albums were (“The Antichrist” and “All Hell Breaks Loose”) Destruction decided to take their latest effort, “Metal Discharge”, and reduce the production values for it. They took away most of the clean production and slick mixing of their previous albums and gave their music a "raw" feeling again. The new edition includes 7 bonus tracks – 3 Iron Maiden, Metallica and The Exploited covers and 4 demo tracks.
Destruction’s re-issues will be available in new digipak editions, each limited to 2000 copies. The material was digitally remastered using 24-Bit process. The release date is scheduled for 26th April 2010 in Europe and 13th July 2010 in USA (via MVD).

PRESS RELEASE
March 16, 2010
Vilnius, Lithuania
DEVILSTONE Open Air - three days of music with devils in nature
DEVILSTONE Open Air, Lithuanian metal music festival, the
biggest and the most rapidly growing throughout the Baltic States, will
take place for the second time in Dainuva valley of Anyksciai, on July
16-18 of this year. Highly acclaimed for the prominent debut last summer,
DEVILSTONE Open Air is looking to unleash a real storm with its second
coming.
US death metal veterans DEICIDE are announced as one
of the festival headliners, together with German thrash metal legends
TANKARD and French heavy metal enthusiasts NIGHTMARE. It is hardly
possible to present these acts within a short paragraph, as all of them
have their particular stories or shocking scandals, experienced throughout
the long years of existence.
Lithuanian front this time will be held by black metal bastards ARGHARUS
and veteran brutal death metal headbangers BURYING PLACE.
Three more bands have been recently added to the line-up.
LIE IN RUINS shall evoke mystic old school Finnish death metal
aggressiveness, while SCYTIAN will bring warlike moods from the shores of
Great Britain. And yes, there will be a doze of melodious metal as well –
Spanish HELEVORN spread the spells of gothic and doom metal flavour.
All together, up to twenty bands will share the stage of DEVILSTONE Open
Air this year, the selection of which is most thorough & particularly
attentive. Uniqueness, creativity and professionally performed metal music
are the basic criteria set for the musicians to make the DEVILSTONE an
exclusive weekend. Keep an eye for the upcoming revelations of festival
line-up in coming weeks, and trust the DEVILSTONE taste!
Apart from live performances, other action will be presented on the second
festival stage and all around the river site. Night Rockteques of purely
old-school rock will make it sleepless. A volleyball tournament will
challenge all to win a Devil’s hoof as a trophy. Workshops of crafts and other
creative actions shall provide a feeling of art and culture, as well as
the whole town of Anyksciai, rich of unique cultural heritage and
possibilities for tourists. Beautiful and untouched nature of the festival
site in Dainuva valley is also one of the festival cornerstones – the
location alone is worth the trip. One shall find a cozy campsite on the
bank of the river as well as a refreshing shadow among the tall pines...
Finally, loads of beer and other seductions will no way be missing. There
are all reasons to take this devilish challenge for the midsummer’s
holiday!
Gather your friends into a larger group and get the DEVILSTONE Open Air
tickets for the minimal price. Decent discounts are available for foreign

Osada Vida, one of the best progressive rock bands from Poland, recorded a video to the title track of their most recent studio album “Uninvited Dreams”. The clip perfectly reflects the atmosphere and nature of this fresh and original music. The band hope that the video will stimulate the listeners' imagination and thus encourage them to listen to the entire album.
Lukasz Lisiak (vocals, bass): "We feel that these images perfectly reflect the elusive feeling when you wake up from a bad dream. The video is very dreamy, but also very intense at times. Sometimes there's a lot of colors, but soon afterwards everything becomes black and white. We like that atmosphere and we are very pleased with the achieved results."
Darek Świtała, the director of the video: "Osada Vida's music is very original and imaginative, which gave us an opportunity to tell, be means of images, of all those things that occur in a dream. Basically, the "Uninvited Dreams" video represents a dream any one of us can have. There is a place for unrest here, for retrospection, but also for unexpected and inexplicable memories. As we wanted the unreality of the whole to be as convincing as possible, we decided to use a Blue Box and a lot of computer effects."
The video is available on Metal Mind Productions’ official Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=MetalMindPoland
Metal Mind Productions released “Uninvited Dreams” in late 2009. The album is available in two editions: as a standard jewel case CD and as a digipak with 3 bonus tracks.

For immediate release:
EX DEO, the Ancient Roman themed arsenal lead by KATAKLYSM frontman Maurizio Iacono, have uploaded the video clip for the song “The Final War (Battle of Actium)” to the following location http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcfaltp8CL0. The song also features a guest solo appearance from Karl Sanders of NILE. The clip was released today on March 15 (Ides of March) in honour of the god of war, Mars. Iacono commented:
"It has come, on the 15th day the birth of Mars has arrived. The god of war, the celebrations have begun! Let the sirens of war echo the might of Rome. This is the final war!"

Progressive Metal Group By Blood Alone To Play Select
East Coast Engagements
3/15/2010 - Portland, ME - Much to the anticipation of fans and music press alike, 5-piece progressive metal band By Blood Alone will be playing select dates on the east coast this April. Though critics praise the band, who hail from Portland Maine, for their complex-but-seamless song writing, determination to dodge stylistic cliches and all-around gothic grandeur, that’s not what makes By Blood Alone unique. The key element that sets this band apart is its approach and attitude. One never feels as though By Blood Alone are truly content with the body of their work, but always reaching into the murky darkness before them for what mystery lies ahead. You’ll not see a head-banging, raucous crowd at stage-front of a By Blood Alone show: instead, you’ll find a captivated audience unmoving and silent – locked into the moment. "If you're new to By Blood Alone, you'll get 45 minutes of breathtakingly dark progressive rock, unlike anything you've heard before. If you HAVE seen us previously, you know to expect the unexpected," says guitarist John Graveside. "For some reason when we are onstage people really study our music. They watch very quietly and only make a sound when they cheer at the end of songs. It's sort of like a classical concert or a scene from 'Monterrey Pop', and after 5 years in the band still a tad unnerving."
"Everyone in the band is clearly an accomplished musician in their own right and demonstrates imagination and creativity, but the rhythm section possesses two qualities which are rare to find at the same time in a metal band; precision and finesse. With the powerfully tasteful guitar compositions of John Graveside and the powerful, emotive vocals of Cruella it would seem that By Blood Alone have everything in place for launching a very successful career." - Komodo Rock
Formed in 2004, By Blood Alone proudly sound like no one else in their hometown, and few elsewhere. By virtue of association, they might be compared to the likes of Finland’s operatic Nightwish or Florida’s decidedly progressive Kamelot, and though that is certainly good company to be in, such comparisons are somewhat inaccurate. The songs on By Blood Alone’s 2007 CD Seas of Blood possess a cinematic quality, brought to life by keyboard tones that bring to mind classic horror and 1950's science fiction films that sit alongside crucial sections of dramatic orchestration. At any given moment you are as likely to hear a solitary piano delicately underscoring vocalist Cruella’s quiet whispers as you are a relentless guitar/bass/drums gallop of bone-crunching verses propelling her wail of contempt. A sultry mix of bitter loss, inglorious defeat and even a bit of gallows humor can all be culled from the furious aural denouement unleashed upon the audience before them. These are not simply encores – they are epilogues.
2005 saw By Blood Alone map out their path with the debut EP Eternally. Ambitious in scope, it set the stage for what is clearly their pinnacle achievement, Seas of Blood. Amongst accolades from numerous press outlets, Portland’s primary arts weekly The Phoenix has twice placed By Blood Alone on their year-end Top-10 list, in 2007 for Seas of Blood and in 2005 for Eternally. These achievements can be added to a string of stunning live performances across New England with the likes of Joey Belladonna of Anthrax, Metal Blade Recording artists Goatwhore, as well as former Misfits vocalist Michale Graves and countless other local and regional acts.
By Blood Alone will be performing on the following dates:
April 1 (Thurs) - Ralph's Diner, Worcester, MA
April 2 (Fri) - The Fuzebox, Albany, NY
April 3 (Sat) - New Wave Cafe, New Bedford, MA
"As a whole, I think By Blood Alone has only scratched the surface of where they could take their music. The band has all of the tools to take their music to the next level. Stephen King may have put Portland, Maine on the map as far as pop culture goes, with the right producer and a little bit of luck, By Blood Alone could carry this town’s legacy well into the future.” - Hard Rock Hideout
Along with the band's special blend of progressive metal, the artwork for the new CD is nothing less than spectacular. "Cruella is a visual artist, and I am a graphic designer, so the packaging was very important to us," says Graveside. "We licensed the painting from a museum in the UK, and I 'doctored' it a bit and did the overall layout. The cover is getting lots of compliments. I see a lot of indie CDs with very mediocre artwork, and as a graphic designer it pains me to look at some of them. Even though the world is moving away from CDs to downloadable files, artwork is still an important point of expression for any band, and usually a dull cover means a dull band. And if there’s no artwork at all…well, you get the point." Cruella adds, "Artwork is extremely important. I didn’t want it to be an afterthought with the album. I am constantly thinking and creating with pictures, so when it came to choosing an image for the cd I already had tons of ideas. Luckily, Graveside and I were on the same page."
"This is a scrumpious blend of gothic and heavy metal. Unlike most, this band does not sacrifice anything from either catagory to make its sound. It has all of the darkness, beauty and drama of the gothic category, but it also rocks socks and trades licks like the best of the metal bands. In a pit or on a stage, this band could stand up there with Judas Priest or Iron Maiden." - NeoZine
As far as the future goes for By Blood Alone, the band plans on releasing a new CD in the Fall of 2010. "These are all the songs we wrote during or after Cruella's breast cancer battle in the fall of 2007," John Graveside explains. "It was a pretty trying time for both her and the rest of us, and it shows in the music. As soon as she started chemo I was determined to have the bulk of the next disc written in the next few months, and after I got done with writing each one the band started fleshing them out while Cruella wrote lyrics at home. So, I got 5 songs done (all about 8 minutes each), and a few months after we started gigging again I wrote a sixth song and Runtt brought in a song, so we now have 7, about 50-55 minutes of material. We're laying down basic tracks in our new studio as we speak (and hopefully we will be done with basics before the tour starts.) So far everything is coming out great and we're hoping to release the disc in the Fall." By Blood Alone will also be performing at the Furfright Festival in Connecticut this coming October.
