If you haven’t been reading my rants for the past few weeks, you may want to click here and catch up or you are going to wonder what the fuck I am talking about. So who has the power to gain weight after riding a bicycle for two 45 minute sessions five days a week? I do! Yep, I have jumped up to a nice even 250 pounds after riding my bike to and from work for two weeks. I do have to admit two things though. First off I wussed out halfway home last Friday. You see, I was wearing boxers that day and my left nut started to hurt from the lack of support. So I rode the bus the rest of the way home (Our busses have bike racks on them). Other than that I have rode every day to and from work with no help from any gas powered vehicle. If I can’t handle the hill, I walk it. So there is one other thing I have to admit. I have done no dieting. This however is all part of my strategy. I figured any weight gain I ended up with would be that short term weight that would be easy to lose (anyone that has done any serious dieting knows what I am talking about). I also knew that starting an exercise routine like that can be a major shock to the system just by itself. So I wanted to make sure my blood sugar didn’t go too nuts for the first few weeks. Now comes the really shitty part though. Me and the wife are saying goodbye to all the fattening foods, chocolate, candy, and whatever else would temp us to overeat. Then this weekend I am going to do some major calorie counting and food measuring to make sure I stay at 2000 calories per day. Let’s see how much I lose by this time next week.

Now an update on the site. You may have noticed that we have a few new writers. You all may know Mistress Spin from her management duties for the band Ground Zero. Well, she had two seconds to breathe a few weeks ago and thought that was too much free time for one woman. So now she will be helping to beef up Tuesdays. Our other two writers are something I think is pretty damn cool. It’s a father and son team! Now that alone would be cool enough, but the father is our very own Bonehead from the boards. His son Iain will cover a bit of death metal, black metal, and grindcore and his dear old dad will cover mostly traditional metal, thrash, and other old school releases. On top of that they seem to be as interested in filling the front page as I am, so look forward to Bonehead & son to kick Wednesdays a new one every week as well. Now you all know I am never happy with good enough. I must make it better. So we have a few other new writers that we might be introducing soon. The plan is to see how many days we can get covered by two to three writers each, so you readers get overwhelmed and can’t handle it all. You want the monkey? You can’t handle the monkey!

We have $40 left on the Google account before we can buy the new board software. For those of you that wonder why I am so damn excited about this upgrade, I found a link with some information. Click here to see a few of the cool toys and features this thing will give us. Now keep in mind that this is only the features that are new to vBulletin. We currently have a lesser board that is not vBulletin. So there are tons of things that are not even mentioned on that link that come with thing. Pretty damn cool, eh? I should be getting contracts for the new ad network next week, so that is still coming along. I know this is supposed to be a rant, but I can’t think about anything to be pissed about. As the band Crowbar once said “I Have Failed”.

PS-Everyone vote for Necrobeast! Yeah, that was my old band, but for every week Necrobeast is number one I will post one song from one of my two albums for FREE download. I know I said that last week, but we are far from the number one spot still. Click here because I RULE (in a humble kind of way)!
