So have you seen our new news page? With this we will be able to archive our news for way longer and this means that the search will be way more fun. If none of the staff gets brave enough to help post news there, look for me to post updates most days around 12:00 noon pacific. If you are not already a staff member, have always wanted to help but can’t write a review, this is your chance. Take charge of our news! Just email me if you think you have what it takes. There are some upgrades we plan for the news section, but they will take the new board upgrade. We have about $50 to go still so keep clicking those Google ads once per day. Remember, never more than once per day though. I hear that can get us into trouble. We currently average about $30 per month, so it looks like it will be very early October when we do the switchover. No, there is no way I can save anything from the old board. I know many of you love your post counts, but if you knew what this new board software was going to do for the site as a whole you would understand why this is so important.

Now I need to actually rant about something since this is my rant column. Fine, I will talk about something that happened at work recently. There is a lady I work with that has had a really hard life and is feisty as hell because of it. Honestly, I like that part. However, there was something she said that really bugs me. Somehow we got on the topic of Bush. Now even most Republicans can now see what a retard Bush is. I have seen the most right wing wacko come out and talk about how this war is wrong. The facts can only be ignored for so long. Well, I made a comment about that and she replied with something like “But something had to be done”. So I asked what had to be done? I got the 9/11 answer! So I pointed out that it has been proven that Sadam had zero connection to September 11th. Her reply was that all “those” people are connected. So I ask what she meant by that. She said all those countries that are part of the “Holy Land”. So this morning (the next day) she apologizes to me. Not for saying that everyone from the Middle East needs to be beaten into thinking our “good American way”, but for getting so angry. Since that was one of the calmest conversations I have ever had with this woman I told her that I had no idea what she was talking about because she didn’t get upset at all. Her pride wouldn’t let her ask for an apology for the thing she should be apologizing for. Oh well, at least it is better then someone who thinks all is forgotten simply because something tragic happened in their life and they wish it away. That person’s pride won’t let him apologize for anything. Why is an apology so damn hard for some? I am human and I am one major fuck up. I have no problem admitting it. I fuck up all the time. So fucking what? It’s part of what makes us human. Admit you fucked up, and try and make that mold you into a better person. Not a big deal really. Fuck pride!
