The October 22 show in Spokane, WA was a reminder of what got me addicted to thrash metal. It was an hour and a half of fast, hard hitting music that got the adrenaline flowing and the blood pumping rapidly through my veins. I'll be feeling this show for days. Sore muscles from thrashing around in musical ecstasy, ears ringing from the aural assault, and a shredded throat from singing along at the top of my lungs to every song.

From the time the guys opened the performance with Among the Living all the way to the finale of I Am the Law, these monster musicians kept the energy flowing and the crowd involved. I was amazed that after over twenty years Joey and the rest of the guys can still bring the power and energy to the stage to get old school thrashers and newly blooded metal heads head banging, moshing and singing along with the band. Anthrax is an example of a group of excellent musicians who really know what it takes to please the crowd. I left at the end of the show with an even stronger lust for more metal.

This tour brought back life to old material that is rarely heard anymore and is often hard to find. They played alot of the old songs that introduced me to metal. Such classic thrash as Medusa, Metal Thrashing Mad, and Indians that I never tire of hearing were presented. I wish all metal shows had the musicianship that was shown at this one. I will remember this show even more than some shows I have seen that had larger audiences and more bands present.
